Does anyone remember playing Pokemon for so many hours you can still hear the music afterwards?

I just had this memory and it was actually unsettling but interesting. The sounds of encountering Pokemon or the music of that town would be on repeat for so long it becomes like an auditory hallucination.

Going to sleep you would hear it on blast and for the scarier parts of the game like lavender town having this playing in your mind when you turn off the game was like a curse.
