TLDR: Goofy rant but I’m sad that my partially fake Pokestop got deleted.
I live in a very remote area with zero Pokestops within walking distance. I know… very first world problem. 🙃
I requested one at a nearby street intersection and it was declined. So I pretended that there was a mural on a waste water drain and it got approved. The drain is real, the art was not.
I was SO excited when I saw it pop up! And every day when I’d open the game and be able to spin it I was so happy. I even created a route that I could do every day.
Then it disappeared after three months.
I legit have been sad about it. What’s the harm in having a Pokestop there even if the art wasn’t actually there?
I’ve noticed that 4 stops near me have disappeared lately (like a free library that isn’t there anymore)… and I just wonder why can’t we leave the stops there?!?
Especially for people who live in the boonies like me.
