Hi guys, I just redownloaded PokemonGo after almost three years of not touching the game. It’s just as fun as I remember it but I feel like the shiny rates are either Hellishly low or I’ve been stupid unlucky. I’ve caught all these pikemon and probably checked 300 more and still not a single shiny in four days. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to maximize shinys? Do I need to use something from the item shop?

wild shiny rates usually 1/512 sadly so I wouldn’t say you are unlucky
This last update removed the boosted shiny rates
Scopely nerfed the shiny rates ever since they took control. I play this game specifically to collect shiny Pokémon all day everyday I’m out hunting and ever since this new scopely company came along I don’t even get 1 shiny a week as opposed to 1-3 shiny Pokémon a day when it was just niantic. It’s not luck they completely fucking rigged it to make shinies 10 times harder to find

odds are crap now. they messed with it when scopely changed the rates about a month ago.
used to see anywhere from 0-7 a day and now i go 1 shiny every 3/4 days
Shinies are now boosted in raids and through hatching eggs. As well as battling team rocket to get shadow pokemon. So yes basically paywalled.
You barely have any pokemon lmao
