Honestly, picking between these three is pretty easy:
Chicago: The background is super clean. All that water leaves plenty of room for Mewtwo’s long tail, and it makes the shiny green version really pop.
Tokyo: It’s a bit cluttered, but it’s Mewtwo’s "home." For collectors and the nostalgia factor, Tokyo is definitely the goat.
Copenhagen: Those colorful houses are just too common in Europe. It might look even better against this background after Mega Evolving.

I’m going to Copenhagen so I’m stuck with the houses but really hoping to do some trades for the other two.
The Global background is cool though.
Well I’m going to Copenhagen even if the background is a bit iffy lol 😅. But I think it’s okay, getting a location BG shiny Mewtwo is all I want.
Edit: I’m pretty sure the no. Location BGs will have some animation effect.
Are all Mewtwo from the place on the right going to have two tails?
I totally understand why they chose Nyhavn for the Copenhagen background, its still one of the bigger tourist attractions of the city. But yeah, I can’t say I like it really. The other backgrounds look so much better.

I’m going to Copenhagen and couldn’t be happier with the Nyhavn background. It’s so colorful and much more aesthetic in my opinion than the same blue water/sky/building backgrounds

Is the middle right background the global one? If so that’s an alright background, I honestly think they could’ve make it better ngl.
Location backgrounds are an interesting thing to me. As a F2P player, I actively avoid them for trades (I have a shiny zacian with a Jersey background that is gathering digital dust). I’m sure they’re a nice souvenir if you went to a Go Fest, but why would I want one if I didn’t go to the Go Fest?
Global backgrounds are very cool though.
