A brand new Choose Your Path Timed Research event is live in Pokémon GO — and this one is different! For the first time, you must pick between Explore, Catch, or Battle, and you’re locked into that choice for the entire event.
In this video, I break down all three paths, the bonuses, tasks, and rewards so you can decide which option is BEST for your playstyle. I personally chose Explore for the insane 5x XP from spinning PokéStops, but is that actually the smartest choice? 👀
🗓️ Event Dates:
May 5, 2026 (10:00 AM local) → May 12, 2026 (8:00 PM local)
🔥 Path Bonuses:
• Explore: 5x XP for spinning PokéStops
• Catch: 1.5x XP for Nice Throws or better
• Battle: +5,000 XP for completing raids
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Once you choose your path, you cannot change it, so make sure you pick wisely!
