I haven't been able to find any pokemon cards for my son for about a month now. So today on my work break, after I picked my youngest up from school, I stopped at the pokemon vending machine at my local grocery store.
There were 2 women and 1 man standing by it, but they said that I could use it after I asked if they were in line. One of the women happened to be a lady that I saw at a pokemon vending machine before at a different grocery store. She had helped me use it since it was the first time I had ever used it.
She starts to tell me about how she and some other people were recently kicked out of a different grocery story because the manager was upset that they were crowding the machine waiting for cards.
As we were talking, I saw that an etb was available. As I was about to buy it, the lady said that I should let her buy it instead. She said she had been waiting for about 20 minutes and so she should be able to buy it and that I should wait.
I said unfortunately I have to return to work, so I can't wait. She said that as soon as she bought it that it would become available again right away. So I responded well if that's the case I'll buy it now, then you'll be able to get it right after me. She was not happy with that response.
I also remembered that the last time I met this lady that the exact same thing happened. But I let her have it because I didn't have to go to work, so I wasnt in a rush.
So this time, I hurried up and bought it, and hurried out of the store with my daughter. In case the lady tried to do something. I feel really bad about it, but my husband said I shouldn't because she's most likely a scalper based off the things she said to me the first time we met.
I still feel a little guilty about it though. But my kids happiness from opening the cards is making me feel a little better. They've opened 3 packs and so far they got these 2 nice cards. The promo card is also really nice. 😁
