Pokemon Masters

Pokemon That Win By Doing Nothing

These are the best Pokemon that NEVER actually attack. Consistently they are some of the best options to use in battle despite auto losing to taunt.

  1. I once made a team with zero attacking moves (except Dragon Tail). I had multiple hazard setters and Toxic users and Leech Seed. I would just set up and start phazing. Of course everyone on my team was bulky at least on one side and most had recovery. If they had Clefable I was forced to forfeit but it was surprisingly effective.

  2. My favorite Pokémon like this are FEAR Pokemon. Sure they aren’t good, but it’s still funny to kill a legendary Pokémon with a level 1 Pokémon.

  3. Mew also had Block, Imprison, Transform and a 4th (usually thunderwave) to shut down mons hard.
Faced it a few times on ladder and lost hard when not prepared 😢

  4. how did you ignore the legendary Mew set of Transform + imprison ? It doesn't have to run attacking moves because it completely neutralizes one opponent and then uses their own moves against them, potentially restricting the opponent's sets in doubles as well.

  5. You could have mentioned Pyukumuku, another mon that is just like Wobbufett in that it doesn't learn any attacking moves and is kinda of a more "honest" pokémon

  6. I love my gen 3 OU Dusclops with Mean Look, Will o Wisp, Pain Split and Rest ❤
Had so many Blisseys forfeit… 🥲

  7. 4:31 yeah its totally for foretress as evidenced by it not even 2hkoing. Totally not for the S rank #1 mon in the tier genesect no sir

  8. Just wanted to point out that, for Wobbuffet, Counter and Mirror Coat are technically attacking moves, so it kind of fails the premise of this video. Like, you can't force Wobbuffet to struggle by using taunt if it has counter and/or mirror coat.

  9. I have a very love hate relationship with Wobbuffett.
I love him in the anime, but I have a very vivid memory of pain from the games.
I was playing the Battle Tower in Gen 3 with a friend.
We came up against Twins in a double battle.
One had a Wobbofet. I don't remember the other
I had my Glalie with a terrible moveset.
Sheer Cold, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Crunch.
I thought: "If I go for Sheer Cold in Wobbuffet, i can stop it. It if misses, oh well. If it hits, I KO it instantly."
So I did. It hit turn 1.
I see Wobbuffet's HP drop. It stops at 1.
It had a Focus Sash. It then went for Mirror Coat on my Glalie.
My Glalie took 2x damage from an OHKO move.
That still hurts all these years later

  10. There is one of these mons that's goal is not to win… but to spread fear in the hearts of many… while they can trap you… they can faint you at anytime… they choose to drag out your demise… all for their entertainment… their name… FunBro (I just thought it would be funny to add FunBro here, as technically against certain match ups they can faint a few mons)

  11. my signature natdex mono psychic core:
    chilly reception slowking
mew w/ stealth rock, imprison, transform, aurora veil
light clay or normalium Z to z-transform

  12. shouldve given a honorable mention to roost spikes defog whirlwind skarmory which gets occasionally used

  13. The truest of all mons to win by doing absolutely nothing, is Dig Slaking on a toxic spikes team where every opponent's mon is poisoned
