They had a perfect system in LA and ZA where you open the party menu, and you can just select to evolve a pokemon when you want to. Then they didn't add it into Scarlet and Violet, for some reason. It's such a small yet beautiful QOL feature, to just immediately know if your pokemon meets the requirements to evolve, and subsequently hit the button to do so without wasting candies if you don't have very many.
It's especially useful in scenarios like the last "route" you unlock or a DLC area, where every pokemon is so over leveled that you simply need to use two rare candies to fully evolve it. I'm hoping it's coming to the main games in Winds and Waves and they simply felt like they didn't have enough time to code it in while developing SV. I'd also like to be able to catch pokemon both in and out of battle like in the Legends games, since it's nice to be able to stealthily complete the dex instead of needing to spend five minutes lowering it's health and putting it to sleep, but that's a much bigger ask. There's no reason for it to NOT be in WnWv (side note, what's the actual shortening for these games?) as it doesn't have any negative side effects, it just improves the game.
I would assume there isn't a single person who WOULDN'T want this in every game from now on, but if you don't, I'd like to know why.
