Venusaur – honestly, the Kanto region is probably the hardest region for me to choose a starter. All 3 starters are genuinely perfect. Nothing I'd change. Well, one thing. I would chose Blastoise if the final design kept the fluffier design that Squirtle, and especially that Wartortle, have in their designs. But I love Bulbasaurs line. Just a bunch of little frog guys.
Pidgeot – My favorite regional flyer, and tied for my favorite flying type mega (tied with mega Staraptor). I feel like people sleep on it when it comes to Kanto birds. I've gotten comments saying "Oh, if i were you, I'd switch it for Fearow or Dodrio. Pidgeot just isnt that good." Well, good for you. I hate Fearow and Dodrio. Pidgeot is just better.
Sandslash – Just a little guy. Gen 1 was cooking on its rock and ground types. There's legit not a single rock or ground type from gen 1 that I don't like. And sandshrew and sandslash are are perfect. Legit the perfect design.
Arcanine – My favorite dog pokemon of all time. I would legit want one in real life. Just imagine having a dog taller than you, as fast as a horse that can carry you. It would make the perfect guard dog/companion in day to day life.
Alakazam – I genuinely don't know why I like this pokemon so much. I really don't. I just feel like hes a goofy guy who tries to be serious but, like, how serious can you be if you are just constantly holding 2 spoons?
Lapras – The perfect water ride pokemon. Kanto also has an abundance of good water types, though my favorites are Lapras and Slowpoke/Slowbro. Lapras just slightly beats out Slowbro because of its Ice typing.
