Personal tip: make those shinies die with a purpose. mark those shinies as gym defenders, when they come back fainted transfer them

Deleting is the way to go. Do you see what they're doing right now with this most current event they've created a new twist with flowers. Something for you to save so you have to buy more space that's useless.
I'm finally seeing Pokemon that I probably should have for a long time. This past week I caught 2 Hundos in the wild.
This game is never gonna die. The only Pokedex I'm consumed with is the original.
Notice I said consumed.

The only Mewtwo that I'll ever care about is the one I caught in the wild on 2/10/18.
The only thing I keep in the bag is three-star IV and higher, anything else goners. So if they're shiny or if they have some costume or it was an event or a specific day, it's three-star IV or higher or it's gone. I don't care what it is and I started this process long ago.
That's the same for the hundos with me right, as soon as I got one here they came. lol

I made my account in 2018, casually played on and off until June 1st 2024. My account was level 25 at the time. Iv been grinding since then, hit level 50 June 17 2025. My pokemon storage is maxed. I got a level 50 Eternatus like you, I max my trades every day. Over the seasons of XL trades, IV got 296+ XLs for 800+ species. My goal was to level 50 one of each species, but recently about two months ago I realized I'm approaching a wall.
I'm running out of species to get XLs for.
I mean that was my goal. I could get to a point where I could just literally transfer everything I catch and not care about candy at all.
That includes variants.
I'm at a point now almost 3 years in I could walk away from most events and not be missing anything.
IV hit the end game, approaching it fast.
My priorities have shifted, when you don't need XLs to max out even the crap tier mons that don't even hit 2500 CP I can just ignore a ton of stuff.
On an individual level I feel accomplished, but IV shifted more into the true end game. I am now playing the role of architect. The passed month and a half, IV created 30 pokestops In my small town.
Intentionally targeted real legitimate targets in cells that are as close as possible to other gyms, gassed those stops up the day they pop up by getting my pokeraid friends to mass like photos.
I even targeted defunct non existent gyms by reporting them after I target the most convenient stop to a gym cluster. Moving gyms closer together and making new ones.
That's pretty much were IV been at with the game. The local players have no fukin clue how these clusters are stops are popping up.
My greatest achievement that took 2 weeks to pull off was turning a 3 cluster of gyms into a 7 cluster.
The furthest gym away from the cluster takes about 20 seconds to walk to it while the other 6 is 20 steps.
You can sit In the parking lot and hit 5 gyms without moving.
I created a legitimate gym at my house, a 3 cluster at a park a block away, I created a gym I can reach from my job while I'm working. A 3 cluster at a different park downtown, I'm working on a 4 cluster down the hill.
Long rant. But the real end game, is manipulating the map legitimately. Reporting stops to downgrade gyms in the middle of nowhere and getting replacement stops in locations that benefit the whole community.
It's pretty fulfilling molding the map of a small town into an S tier pogo playground you can drive and park where ever unlike cities where you have to wait at stop lights, have to walk, and can't park.
I got like 17 nominations on standby, focusing on 4 cluster in another part of town.
It's going to catch tourists off guard when the sheer density of gyms during go Fest this year.
The 7 cluster alone will draw all the solo casuals that play in town for Mewtwo so it will be great to actually see the community gather together organically.
One of my true treasurers is my Hundo Golisopod.
For some reason I don't get shiny's or Hundo's from hatching eggs. So when this one hatched I really was shocked.
I really love when leveling up and a reward is extra pokemon storage.

Apparently a rayquasa I transferred 2 my brother had the box Shiney effect so I honestly didn't even know until he told me about it. I honestly thought it was the ball effects from black and white or one of the mainline games.
I usually put them in remote trade. I am over 3,000 tho

I'd take a "regular" shiny mwetwo in a heartbeat. I caughg a ton of mewtwos on the first round of release before they released thd shiny and was on a hiatis when they released the shiny so i missed it.Thankfully one of my og group friends trade an armor mewtwo to me, for which i will be eternally greatful. OG pokemon friends rock.
Something to consider, before transferring your shiny mons, check if you need the evolution for your shiny dex. If so, tag them for some evolve task and once done, get rid of them.

If youre so sunk intell cell chased sinner one then sure. This is a problem. But the average player doesnt make pokemon go their whole life. They dont make azz revenue out of it. They dont pay to win.
Im 10yrs into pokemon go and ive walked 800km. I have 420 pokemon total. Im only allowed 850 max. Most of my pokemon are 2018-2020 until 2025-26. I played it with my oldest kid. Now i play it with my youngest kids. I have mayb 130 shinies. I delete gaye mons immediately. Unless my kid wants it.
Anything girly isnt welcome on my phone. I habe two phones too. My kids another two. So 4 phones active living on the gym. We just do the daily raid and i play whilst walking now too. But usually we just play at home.
Its cool because we've made atleast 6 local freinds recently.
Weekly adventure freind finder now we can max the gym 17 players on the rspv. That attracts the local players here they add us.
Tomo is the most excited ive been this deano thing im going to take the kids out raiding for the best shiny denio watever..
We are lucky if we get two shinies the same. Except chancey we all have one of those.
We already delete communtity day extra shinies except for charmander i have 8 of those ready to lucky trade. Mayb tomo we will meet some players and give them a lucky shiny charizard. Anything that mega evolves and lucky is worth saving.
