Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is exceeding my expectations. There is some little surprise bubbling at a pace of more than 1 per minute. It’s a soda fountain of creative loveliness. A tasty, sugary bubble tea of platforming pleasures. A luxurious bubble bath full of toy-like creatures to discover.
I am grateful to the joyless bro-snobs at IGN who panned this game for lowering my expectations. That dude who described it as “bubble wrap,” what does he think video games are for? They are for fun!
