It has been announced that Gen 4 and some major stat rebalances are coming soon* to Pokemon GO! While Gen 4 was expected, major changes to our Pokemon’s HP and Defense stats were not. On the surface this appears to just be a way to nerf Blissey and throw a bone to more fragile Pokemon such as Alakazam, Gengar, and Deoxys, I believe these changes are being implemented to balance out PvP. PvP was announced/casually mentioned to be released sometime in November. I’d be awesome to get it that early, but let’s not get too excited!
