Think I am forced to make this one lol. Nevertheless, I am starting to love doing these kind of contents, will definitely do more in the future.
For this comparison video, I am pleased to invite PokéM1st to take part in the comparison video. The beautiful 5/5 20/20 Cynthia and Garchomp EX u seeing in this video actually belongs to him, so shout-out to him! Feel free to check out his YT channel ( he also posts useful guides and walkthroughs of Pokemon Masters EX on regular basis!
With similar style of presentation as per the previous comparison videos, here’s a comparison of Earthquake’s damage between Garchomp and Charizard, after taking the following factors into consideration:
– both units are 6* EX;
– Both units are paired with units that maximise their damage output for Earthquake;
– Fight against the same match (namely Champion Time FFB – Round 2);
– Targeting the same mobs with Earth weakness – ie the side mobs at last row;
– For sync grid, pls note that the builds shown on the screen are purely constructed for the purpose of this video, Ie grid tiles that maximise the damage output for Earthquake;
– For Garchomp’s lucky skills, some may argue to use SS3 instead of CS2, there is no right or wrong on this matter, but for the sake of comparing outside sandstorm, having CS2 imo is more ideal. Cynthia dominates Leon without SS3 anyways;
– For Charizard’s lucky skills, it is a shame that I do not have any Crunchy Cookies left to learn Critical Strike 2 for Leon. Hence for the robustness of this comparison, I have also shown the converted damage amount as if Critical Strike 2 damage was dealt;
– Move level inconsistency – Cynthia is at 5/5 while Leon is at 3/5, hence conversion is calculated to reflect a more comparable analysis (ie 5% damage increase per move level).
My thoughts:
Cynthia still dominates with Sandstorm overall, she works significantly better than Leon in 3v9 battles due to SS3 + SS5. Leon can still catch up and almost be on par with Cynthia but it requires Burn Synergy 3 to work, which is only more ideal in a 3v3 (e.g. Champion Stadium) battles.
Outside type advantage, Cynthia’s damage still slightly higher than Leon’s by approximately 8%.
If you have Leon not Cynthia, you’re still pretty safe in terms of type coverage for the current game content. With the current hardest game mode – i.e. Champion Stadium, you can still almost reach Cynthia’s damage with both Burn Synergy 3 and Super Preparation 4, without much difficulties.
Kindly note that this video solely analyse the damage comparison. Meaning other comparison factors such as self-sufficiency, team survivability, types coverage, and etc were not taken into account.
