Rayquaza’s sync grid is a odd case here. It add’s very minimal to Rayquaza’s options besides Clearheaded for Outrage confusion. No Dauntless or Status Quo for Draco Meteor’s stat drop, no Status Quo to remedy Zinnia’s bad trainer move stat drops, no critical strike/power flux/ramming speed for Aerial Ace, only 1 damage multiplier in Weather Surge. Aerial Ace Eagle Eye 3 is a rather weak option for Critical Hit Rate buff. Weather is a very restrictive playstyle in Pokemon Masters unless you can self induce weather changes like May because otherwise you’re dedicating 1 whole team slot to someone who’s setting up weather. This is especially damaging in a stage like Latias’s Legendary Arena because the stage itself is already very restictive on your team setup because as it is, you already need to dedicate slots to an Impervious tanker and a debuffer.
So here we forgo the weather play and just go for brute force with Critical Strike 2 Outrage Rayquaza. We will be making the best out of Eagle Eye from Aerial Ace to loosen up a team slot because Ray still needs alot of support from the team to work. A Dauntless Draco Meteor setup would work well too I believe but I feel Critical Strike 2 just gives me more options and there are already a few Special Attacking Dragon sync pairs who does the job better(Lance, Lisia and Cyrus). I don’t touch Zinnia’s trainer move because I just think it’s bad to lose 2 stages of defenses when Rayquaza is already paper thin.
