Self justification aside, Eggmon Electabuzz worked wondrously in this Legendary Arena for me. Tornadus’s gimmick here is that you must paralyze him in order to deal proper damage. Tornadus has a passive called Self Cleanse 1 in his phase 1 & 2 and Self Cleanse 2 in phase 3 to rid himself of paralysis every time he uses a move. And he also cures him self of any statuses when his HP falls below 50% or when he enters the next phase. Nothing much you can do to mitigate his “Self Cleanses” but you can target the phase shifts and anticipate his HP dropping below 50% to reapply Paralysis.
Who best to apply Paralysis? Top of my head, Vileplume(100% accurate Stun Spore), Eggmon Venomoth(Troublemaker 1 Stun Spore) and Meowstic(90% acc Thunder Wave) would be your best choices, but there’s one pokemon I prefer above these choices. Enter Electabuzz. I powered up this guy to 4star awhile ago and never could find any use for him. But in this battle, I really only need someone who can provide paralysis and survive, and Electabuzz fits the bill nicely. Eevee here perfect’s the aim of everyone and Electabuzz was throwing out 100% accurate Thunder Wave all day long. He can self induce regeneration and has a nice 2 bar move to spam. Morpeko needs no introduction. The overlooked Electric/Dark dps monster that might just be more effective then some of the other dedicated Electric strikers in the game.
In the end, this Legendary Arena wasn’t all that difficult once you get a hold of Tornadus’s rhythm. It’s not heavily reliant on RNG and you can definitely plan your way to victory. Hope you have fun watching the video^^
