Hoopa was teased at Pokemon GO Fest 2021 in both the loading screen and in the Strange Rings Special Research. At this time, you cannot catch Hoopa in Pokemon GO and we don’t even have a datamine on Hoopa. What we do have however, is Hoopa’s translated stats and learnset from the main series games. With this information we can determine the potential of both Hoopa Confined and Hoopa Unbound in Pokemon GO! You read right, two Hoopas are in this deal. Hoopa Confined and Hoopa Unbound.
As it stands, both Hoopa have potential in both Raids and in PvP but will likely be limited by their Fast Moves. As with Xerneas, Hoopa Confined and Hoopa Unbound have relatively poor Fast Moves to choose from. Aside from Confusion, any Fast Move they can learn that is already in Pokemon GO is terrible. An Astonish buff or a brand new Dark-type Fast Move could save the Hoopa though! That, and getting Hyperspace Fury and Hyperspace Hole.
