Champion Stadium – Kanto Challenge Week 69
(20 December 2021 – 26 December 2021)
Here are some notes of strategy on beating each stages:
1) Lance (Fairy Weak – Stage Parameter: Field effects stay permanent)
Post-Sync run strategy with Granbull debuffing all opponents’ Atk stats, keep spamming between Horn Leech and Moonblast with Xerneas, while Zamazenta ensuring the whole team’s survivability plus some chip damages. Stage Parameter helps to keep Move Gauge Acceleration intact for the whole battle.
2) Bruno (Flying Weak – Stage Parameter: Sp Atk Higher)
Standard pre-sync race strategy. Stage Parameter helps to boost off-type damage further.
3) Agatha (Ice Weak – Stage Parameter: MG recovers faster)
Pre-sync race strategy, not able to Quad-queue here however still able to get the job done. Stage Parameter helps you to manage MG better, especially needing to spam Kyurem’s Glaciate all the time.
4) Lorelei (Fighting Weak – Stage Parameter: Special damage reduction)
The most annoying among all with 2 reasons: (1) Cannot Quad-queue, the left Umbreon will always queue move before you release sync move; and (2) That pesky Lapras with ‘Look Alive 9’ Passive. The strategies are:
(a) Use ‘Ally HP↓ at Start 5′ so that you may prompt Lucario’s Power Reserve 5 incurred by either Lapras’ Hyper Voice or Liepard’s Snarl (didn’t happen in this run though);
(b) Deny Opponent’s turns as much as possible (i.e. at 13:17 and 13:43); and
(c) Only attack Lapras with Lucario’s Close Combat to minimise as many Evasive boost as possible.
(d) if all the above do not work, just stall the hell out of her lol.
5) Blue (Bug Weak – Stage Parameter: Field effects stay permanent)
Standard Pre-sync race. Stage Parameter helps to keep Rainy Day intact throughout the whole battle. Alternatively you can always employ Stall strategy since the Stage Parameter has the ‘Status Condition’ option. Alternatively u can stall it with the typical Crobat-Masquerain-Starmie team.
