Pokemon Masters – Champion Stadium MM 10000 – F2P friendly (Jan 2022 Week 2)

Champion Stadium – Master Mode 10000 – F2P Friendly / No 5* Gacha (Jan 2022 Week 2)

Late upload, but who cares? I never cared about views on these CS runs, mostly for my own enjoyment.

1) Bruno (0:00)
2) Will (3:44)
3) Koga (6:29)
4) Karen (10:28)
5) Lance (13:14)

1) Round 1 – Bruno (Use stat lowering effects) – Xerneas (5/5, 20/20), Granbull (4*), Zamazenta (5/5, 20/20)
Not much to say here, Xerneas + Granbull has always worked well against Bruno. Zamazenta is a strong support which makes this battle consistent.

2) Round 2 – Will (Use physical attacks) – BP Umbreon (3/5), Swanna (6EX, 5/5), Scyther (5* 0/20, 5/5)
Umbreon and Swanna are a natural pairing. Umbreon’s damage output isn’t amazing and it suffers from recoil. That’s where Swanna comes in to fix all of Umbreon’s issues. Still, we’re only barely able to take out middle before the sync. Sides go down in 1 hit. 2-3 potion refreshes should be enough.

I use Leer at the start in order to get rid of Jynx’s Tough Cookie. Otherwise, Swanna would take too much damage.

3) Round 3 – Koga (Make use of additional effects) – Ho-oh (5/5, 20/20), BP Raichu (3/5), BP Mismagius (3/5)
Koga is normally one of the most difficult stages, and he’s even harder when restricting yourself to F2P units. Critical shield and evasion are extremely annoying. In order to win, I had to make use of the stage parameter. Mismagius with Astonish Aggravation will always flinch in round 3, allowing us to skip a lot of turns. Here you can see that I abuse flinch like crazy to take out the sides, and then once the sides go down, I can focus on the Ariados.

4) Round 4 – Karen (Use powerful moves quickly) – Lucario (5* 0/20, 5/5), Medicham (4*), Cryogonal (4*)
I just love how budget this team is. Remember that Lucario was one of the first story units to get a grid, and he’s still relevant in the meta nearly 2 years later. Medicham and Cryogonal are 2 units that you hate to see when pulling, but at least you can utilize them here in CS Master Mode 2000.

In terms of strategy, it’s the same thing I do almost every time Fighting CS comes up – the usual Power Reserves build.

5) Round 5 – Lance (Special dmg reduction + use powerful moves quickly) – Palkia (5/5, 20/20), Serperior (6EX, 2/5), Psyduck (5* 0/20, 5/5)
I spent a lot of time recording this one because I kept getting terrible RNG. Basically we need Spacial Rend to crit asap to get +3 crit, and then we spam Hydro Pump. The 95 accuracy of Spacial Rend / Hydro Pump (grid +15 acc) can also backfire. We also want the Charizard to not use Flare Blitz post sync if possible. If all these things come together, then it’s an easy win.
