NEW: YouTube seems to confirm Nintendo post is really is behind the claims. They don’t answer some of the oddities mentioned below, but it’s the closest we have to a confirmation (https://twitter.com/TeamYouTube/status/1490092359228526592)
As you might know, I did a post called “It looks like the Copyright Claims towards GilvaSunner might be from Someone Impersonating Nintendo” Well, it seems there might be a new bit of evidence supporting this as well as revisions on Sol’s original tweet.
I learned this from penguinz0, also known as moistcr1itkal. He uploaded a video called “I was Wrong Again” where he talked about it.
He brought up an excellent point: When that video of the Pokemon FPS fan game was taken down, it was specifically from the Pokemon Company. (I included a link to it so you can see for yourself)
GilvaSunner had Pokemon Music on his channel and, as far as he told us, the claims only came from “Nintendo.” The thing is whenever a copyright claim is filed against something Pokemon-related, it is usually TPC. The only exceptions being usually when it involves the anime, in which case it is usually something like ShoPro.

Second, Sol came out with a new piece. There was a case of human error, in that “copyright claims” and “content ID claims” are two different things, with GilvaSunner’s case being the latter. And in Content ID claims, you don’t have to say the full company name. This could mean they were done, by Nintendo, but that isn’t a definitve proof and we still have other issues.
The whole email from “Nintendo JP” still holds true in that it doesn’t exist nor is there any reason for Nintendo to tackle on “JP” at the end. As far as I know, Nintendo in Japan doesn’t call themselves like that.
Finally, it was discovered that there really is a company that does pretend to be Nintendo and Content ID block Nintendo-related videos. Turns out the Nintendo that tried blocking the Kirby Reanimated video was A-PAB, who had been trying to take down various Kirby content and had ruined several channels in Japan through false flagging. In fact, Nintendo even confirmed themselves that they never flagged any Kirby video.
So in conclusion, the whole thing of suspicision for the claims just using “Nintendo” generically are now inconclusive (cannot really be used to prove one way or the other). However, the fact GilvaSunner’s Pokemon videos were claimed by this and not TPC, the non-existence of Nintendo JP email, AND the fact there is a proven past impersonator for Nintendo in the past via the Kirby Reanimated incident, (probably others too) means we still cannot say for sure whether it was Nintendo or an imposter. Me personally, I’m still inclined to lean to the latter due to the general fishyness of this.
Sadly, with GilvaSunner deleting his channel, it is unlikely YouTube or anyone is going to investigate further into this, so we may never know the truth. I think it’s save to say that this has all been one massive headache.
EDIT: A verified commenter in Penguinz0 mentions being claimed for Nintendo Music in their videos, they disputed, and the claims went away. This seems to suggest there is someone out there doing falsehoods.
