I’m extremely stoked to have 48 new courses to play, don’t get me wrong. I’ve been wanting more DLC for this game for years…
But these courses look like they were ported straight from the mobile game. Shroom Ridge and Coconut Mall aren’t in the mobile game yet, but they’re probably being added soon.

They all just feel super inconsistent with the base game and original DLC courses. The level of realistic detail just isn’t there. The music, from what I gathered in the trailer, might just be slightly remixed MIDI versions of the original tracks as well, as opposed to the big band jazz track remixes that were in the original.
I understand that reusing assets is a thing and I’d rather the dev team not have to redo shit that’s just right there, but would have appreciated a bit more of an upscale to the textures or something. Obviously not the end of the world, more Mario Kart is never a bad thing, but still a bit of a bummer. How does everyone feel about this?
