I know it’s a twelve year old game but in my opinion it remains the pinnacle of arcade style racing games. I originally played it on the Xbox 360, then played it again on PC and now I’m playing it again on the Switch and it it’s just a good as it ever was.
* Beautifully modeled fully licensed cars (every car feels like it handles uniquely)
* Spectacular crashes with vehicle damage
* “Power ups” that you can mess up other drivers with
* An amazing sense of speed and solid drifting mechanics
* Near photo-realistic environments
* Engaging progression system
* Excellent online features
* Pause the game at any time and enter photo mode to get that perfect screenshot
And most importantly, this game is normally forty dollars but it’s only 10 right now. I think the sale only has a day or two left so get it while you can as it doesn’t go on sale often.
