Article explicitly stating this is the lowest DDDA has ever been on Switch if you don’t wanna take my word for it:

It’s basically like a mash-up between Skyrim, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, and has a Dark Souls/Berserk feel to it, very good Dark Fantasy.
The combat is absolutely sublime, it’s a mixture between Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter and Shadow of the Colossus, you can climb big monsters (including Dragons) and stab them in the heart or the eye, sending it careening into the ground where you can have a pawn use a certain spell the monster is weak to for massive damage. Lighting some monster’s wings on fire can stop them from flying, or maybe you can inflict blindness on them so they don’t know where you are, or poison, maybe throw a skull at them so they get cursed.
You can literally climb a Dragon’s hanging tail as it flies above you, ready to unleash it’s fire breath upon you, and climb it as it tries to shake you off all the way up to it’s belly, it’s spinning around trying to shake you, but you hold on and stab it over and over.
The grounded combat, as seen above, is very intense and fun, you have customizable skills that you can change, a job system that has different ranks, which unlock better skills, some that are cross-job and can be used with a completely different job. You only need go to an innkeeper to change it, and each skill can be substituted for another one, making every Arisen’s experience different. I myself prefer the Mystic Knight, who has access to powerful magicks but also is incredibly skilled with a sword. The magick system is one of the best in any game ever:

The pawn system is also incredible, you create your own character, and then create your permanent AI companion using the same excellent character creator you chose for yourself. You shape their personality into what you want them to be as you make them, then once they are created, they learn from you, studying everything you do, monster weaknesses, quest knowledge, knowledge of the land you travel, in real time. Monkey see, monkey do, pretty much. Every single in-game action you do will be observed by them, they can be very smart as well, knowing to avoid traps, and warning you of monsters up ahead. They use their knowledge to give you hints during quests they’ve done with other players, or help other players with the knowledge gained from you. By learning area knowledge they can learn shortcuts and the best way to reach the end, they’ll inform you of this and ask you to follow them, it’s such a wonderful experience.
If that wasn’t enough they can be recruited into other people’s games, while still being present in yours, so you are playing with your companion while they are doing the same simultaneously. When your pawn is released from their care, the next time you sleep at an inn, you’ll receive gifts from the borrowing player (which can even be really cool/good gear or stuff that’s thousands and thousands of gold), and they’ll rate your pawn on a scale 1-5 based on appearance, overall helpfulness, and combat ability… Doing this puts your pawn higher on a leaderboard featuring thousands of other player-made pawns, you can also recruit other people’s pawns, seeing their skills, gear, class, and stats before deciding to recruit them. When releasing the pawn you can also send a comment detailing what the pawn did right OR wrong.
The game is rarely ever this low on Switch, it’s normal price is $29.99 USD, so make sure to pick it up while you can! I hope this helped you decide on whether or not to purchase it. (Oh and the music is pretty good too: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKr9zwS41Ms](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKr9zwS41Ms) & [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzQlqElLYps&t=205s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzQlqElLYps&t=205s))
