Of the remaining 5-star units who haven’t received their EX outfits, Lyra was definitely the most anticipated one. Any team that has Lyra in it is most likely syncing with her for Solarize, so an EX would make any team running her a lot more effective. She finally got one this week alongside Kris, so of course I wanted to see it in action.
Here’s how each battle went, and the sync grids used:

There are many, many strikers who appreciates Lyra’s sun, and I decided to bring an F2P option here in Gardenia, whose Leaf Storms become very scary under the harsh sunlight. Erika tanked for this stage as she has better physical Defense than Lyra.

One drawback of relying on Solarize for sun is that there will be several turns where you don’t have sun – both before syncing and during the second sync, as the sun would run out by then. Maxie solves all of those with Sunburst and Drought Alert, and Lyra’s new EX means that you can sync with her to extend the sun and give the support EX boost. I completed the team with Brendan as I needed his special damage for this stage.

I pair up Lyra with Ethan a lot, as her crit buffs and sun are exactly what Ethan needs for his Eruption spam, and Ethan not having sync multipliers meant Lyra’s free to take sync priority. I use them against Lyra’s own EBE, and I brought along Leaf for the added bulk, sustain, and EX boost.

For some reason, they gave Lyra an innate RIsing Tide multiplier, which means her sync moves do actually have the potential to be powerful. I use that to my advantage here, where she “dual-strikes” with SS Leaf, who also serves as the debuffer. BP Morty completes the team with his defensive buffs, heals, and interferences to shut down Acute Senses.

Sun-stalling doesn’t really need the Lyra EX, which is why I made this a bonus clear haha. It’s very effective though, and since I got SS Morty to 3/5 recently, he’s even more effective for the job since he now has Potion MPR and an extra Sunbathe 9 tile for himself. BP Erika is the status inducer as she also appreciates the sun for Healing Sun 1.
