I hate these in store code distributions. Why not make them available to download from the internet?

The sad part is, it actualy is cheaper for me to buy these codes on ebay then to even try to get them. Our Gamestops keep telling you they have none on the day of release for a few days and then all of a sudden all are gone.
The price to get there is around the same as a single code is on ebay… so i will support what Gamestop seems to attempt and not go there as i pay more to try then to buy.
This helps to promote just making these yourself. Not everybody wants to go to these damn stores or has one nearby. If I can get my OG switch updated, I’ll gladly make these for whomever wants them.
Is it like a paper code they give you, or you just connect to the wifi? I remember with the Animal Crossing New Leaf codes, I would generally just sit in the parking lot to get it.
So annoying. I went to GameStop (the first time I’ve been in one since 2018 and only like the 3rd time in the last 10 years) to get Eternatus a couple weeks ago. Now I’ve got to go back and then after the 1st I’ve got to go to Target. What a dumb way to do it
Can we get a magearna and zarude?? That’s all I’m missing for my living Dex and they just don’t want to hand them out…

What happened to the Pokémon Pass app? They were supposed to be able to distribute location-based codes through that. They used it for like a few months in 2019 before they just seemed to completely forget about it
Damn I’ll have to find my way to GameStop cause I’ve always wanted a gensect and volcanion. Now we just need darkrai for BD and SP
9 times out of 10, the stores are out of them (probably employees keeping them to resell online). Last time I went, the teenage clerk had no idea what I was talking about.
Plus it’s probably cheaper to buy them online, than waste gas going out twice (why is 1 Pokemon on a different date?) to get them.
I know why they do them, but these in-stores only code events are fucking awful. They need to start doing digital drops instead but again, they’re email events are always abysmal. You sign up for stuff and never get it.
For such a big company they’re really bad at all of this. It’s more convenient to generate these Pokemons through bots, not like they’re illegal anyways.
So.. can I get them in Mexico? I remember for the 20th anniversary they that them in some stores.

Sweet, I need a Volcanian, Kubfu, and Zarude to complete my home dex. I plan on restarting shield to get a kubfu, unless someone knows a way to get one without doing that.

Assuming whenever this comes to EU, my closest participating store will be 10 to 30 minutes away by car.
Except I can’t drive and the next best option forces me to spend the whole day for a quick visit to a GAME store.
YES!!!! I’ve been trying for weeks to trade my Shiny Eternatus codes for the GVM sets that were given away in Europe.

God dammit, I guess it’s too much to ask them to be cool and just give out the codes, but no you gotta tie them to physical stores.
