Coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on 11/2.

Allowed ta play with people Online correct? It’ll be neats ta beat them completely, yet I’ll be waiting for the Nintendo GameCube Era better games!!

  3. Dukemon102

Making up for the missing September title with two games at once huh?

Just one thing. If you have a Classic N64 Controller. **DON’T USE IT FOR MARIO PARTY 1**. You have been warned. Modern sticks shouldn’t be much of an issue, those are much easier to rotate. Unless it’s a Joy Con and you want it to drift sooner….

  4. notthegoatseguy

Time to put the N64 NSO controller’s joystick to the test!

  5. CannedApples13

No super Mario party all stars expansion. 🙁

  6. SparklyEarlAv32

This is really cool, Mario Party 2 has obviously aged way better than 1 having it’s own vibe and style with better boards and far better balancing in my opinion. Maybe this will be a soft reminder to add more boards into Superstars as well.

Goodbye old layer of skin on my palms, hello new layer!

  8. edengamer253

Never played Mario Party 2 so im pretty excited. 1 is a classic and will be so nostalgic to play

When I was a teenager I had life threatening asthma and was in and out of the children’s ward at the local hospital. They had a n64 system on the ward with Mario party and wave race 64. I will never forget getting blisters on my thumb and pointer fingers playing that stupid boos bicycle where you had to make the room bright enough to scare away boo. Couldn’t play for a while after that xd.

Those long days in the hospital were made so much better for the n64 system and peaches birthday cake will always remain my favourite Mario party board

So have they just given up on adding NES & SNES games? That’s kind of weird…

  11. Fun fact – Yasunori Mitsuda composed the music for the first Mario Party!

  12. paul120000

My only question is, will the reverse mushroom be in play? I loved using that to go backwards to chase stars. Lol.

  13. Refreshing to not have some weird stale narrator cover the whole thing like they’re trying to teach to a group of kindergarten students.

  14. JSRFCube

My fiancé isn’t a big gamer but she LOVES Mario Party, I am so excited to introduce her to blistered palms

  15. Now we just need 3 to complete the N64 triarchy.

  16. That means the only thing left for December is golden eye. I really hope Pokémon stadium is in January so the 2nd one can avoid being at the end of all the announced games

  17. YourCousinJeffery

Hoping this means they’ll be dropping Goldeneye in December for the holidays to drum up excitement and signups etc.

Hard to imagine they wouldn’t. And it has to be Goldeneye since there’s no other N64 games on their roadmap for 2022.

  18. I’m wondering if its possible to use Gamecube controllers with this using the official GCN adapter because the left stick of my Pro Controller is a bit wonky after years of use and I don’t want the same thing to happen to the Joycons

  19. OoTgoated

I still feel like they wasted three slots since Mario Party Superstars is just a higher fidelity version of all the 64 games and all the Mario Party fans have it already.

  20. chewywheat

I’m guessing they gave up on Mario Party Superstar?

  21. ItsHammond

Goodbye Superstars, i’m going back to the games with content!

  22. AlterEdward

Mario Party 64 broke one of my N64 controllers. And I never even owned the game, it was a rental.

  23. Eiknarf95

Ffffuuuuuuuu WHY does Nintendo tease us like this??? My heart skipped a beat this early in the morning thinking the games were now available, but instead they make us wait 2 more weeks

  24. DeadBeatRedditer

As if the switch joysticks didn’t have enough problems.

  25. Give us Mario party superstars dlc you cowards

  26. MintberryCrunch____

Is it confirmed we can play online with friends in these right?

  27. binkbankb0nk

Great – but I still can’t but the controllers to play it.

    Constantly out of stock.

    Cart before the horse.

  28. Orangerrific

I cannot WAIT! Mario Party 2 was me and my best friend’s game of choice whenever I slept over at her house when we were kids. Now she lives far away and we haven’t seen each other in ages. So happy that we’ll be able to play this together again online ❤️

  29. kidbuu42

I just… don’t get the hype for these when we have superstars. It seems like I’m alone though and everyone plans to play these now.

  30. silentlegend

Do they have controller mapping yet? A lot of the N64 games are rough to play without it or an N64 designed controller.

  31. My Mario Party story: I used to play MP a lot when I was a kid. My cousin had it, we’d get four-player games going frequently. Several years later, in college, a kid has a N64 and MP. There are four of us who play quite a bit. Being the most experienced, I win the first few games. They’re close but I win. Finally one day, I’m getting demolished. My rolls are terrible, I can’t get to the star spaces, keep getting my coins taken, I’m thoroughly beaten. On the last turn, I get a Chance Time and, as luck would have it, I get to trade stars with the current leader. I win the game and keep the win streak alive. No one would ever play with me again.

  32. Just hit 50k coins in my N64 copy of Mario Party 2 since it came out. That is worth something to my family and I from playing thru out the years keeping coop games alive. ❤️
