Hello everybody! We are Robot Invader, hardcore fans of classic horror games, coming to you from the Bay Area and New York. We’ve just shipped our beloved horror mystery game DEAD SECRET CIRCLE on Switch, which Thomas Grip of Frictional Games, the guys behind Amnesia: The Dark Descent and SOMA, called “A tantalizing mix of horror and mystery. Robot Invader knows their stuff!”

Here’s the trailer which does a good job letting you know what kind of experience you’d be getting into https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDW6YoU9E-4

While DEAD SECRET CIRCLE takes place in 1971 Chicago, Japanese folklore runs like an undercurrent through its story. You explore creepy places, discover a detailed and complex story, solve weird puzzles, and run for your life from a straight-razor-wielding serial killer with a sinister laugh. So please, go ahead and ask us anything!

You can follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/robotinvader) and check out DEAD SECRET CIRCLE’s Switch store page (https://www.nintendo.com/store/products/dead-secret-circle-switch/). Thank you!

Looks interesting. As a resident of downtown Chicago myself, how did you choose Chicago as a setting and what did you do to weave the game’s narrative into the city? (What makes it apparent this is Chicago specifically versus simply any urban environment?)

How long is the internal development process, and which game engine do you use for the game?

I’m interested, and I love the horror genre and also mysteries. I LOVE puzzles.

But I need your honest, honest answer here. How many jumpscares?

And I mean actual jumpscares, as in, something pops out with a loud sound accompanying it.

I’m okay with creeping horror or atmosphere stuff.

    But not BOO! spooky.

Also, will this be coming out on PC as well?

Favorite horror movies? If you had to compare your game to one horror film which would you choose?
