For some context, I let my little brother play PVP on my account as my account is more loaded then his, he also is more knowledgeable in certain pokemons charged attacks then I am (I tend to underestimate alot of pokemon.) I mostly just catch pokemon, but I’ll let him battle for the rare candies rewards. Apparently he got mad that mewtwo only had frustration as the charge attack so he not only purified it but used 15 of my rare candies to do so. It was only a 500cp and 15hp gain which pissed me off even more (shadow mewtwo was at 2480cp before purifying.)

My kids play on “our” account, and I describe it has working harder not smarter. They evolve zero star Pokémon, dump rare candy into the wrong ones, etc. At the end of the day it’s just a game though.

back in 2020 I didn’t know shadows were better than purified.. I now have a 4* mewtwo. I don’t even wanna know its stats before I did this

Thankfully my 12 and 10 year old both understand the value of shadows but I wish you could “lock” the purification button to avoid accidental double taps (like that one time I dual-moved a 0-star 710 CP dugtrio) when I was trying to X out…

On the plus side… You can be in bulkier and power it up more easily. I’m using my battle ready Mewtwo and haven’t had any use for my shadow. Don’t hire a hitman just yet.

Oof, my nephew recently got into Pokémon GO (he’s 5) and could not comprehend why I can’t just give him a mewtwo when we’re barely great friends in game. I caught him a couple of times trying to trade for it when I let him use my phone

Anyone ever seen the video where two brothers are playing ping pong, and then the little brother gets mad that he’s losing so he throws the paddle at the older brother…. Then the older brother begins the head hunt as the younger one is SCREAMING in terror of what the other will do when he catches him… 😂
That is the perfect definition of how my younger sibling would act if I ever caught them doing some messed up sh** like that. 😂😂

I’m sorry if I sound dumb but why don’t people purify their shadow Pokémon? I can understand if it’s for aesthetic reasons but is there a difference in stats or moves or anything? I’ve been playing this game forever and have always been too afraid to ask.
