    >Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits is available now on Nintendo Switch.

    >Shake and spin the Joy-Con, and feel like you’re out on the ocean waves! The latest Ace Angler title is set in an aquarium-themed amusement park! Play the park’s various attractions by yourself or with friends to collect Medals, which you can then use to upgrade your aquarium!

This doesn’t look terrible- can anyone recommend it?

  3. The character design looks a bit like Animal Crossing.

    Might check this out.

Does anyone know if there is any strategy to catching fish? Are you supposed to time using thunder strikes or just spam them? All my fish always break the line. I’ve gotten my evil great white in Shark Fever all the way to 900 coins and never caught it once. Am I doing something wrong?

Copy-pasting this from Twitter Post but here’s my first impression:

    – This isn’t Animal Crossing, and Ibhave never played Animal Crossing. (This sounds like an insult so don’t come hurling at me AC fans Dx)

    – Shark Fever, a coin-pusher/medal game based game, is addicting as heck. The mini shark battle is totally rigged and luck-based. If you keep failing at capturing the shark many times, it may do a pity on you. Normal tickets compensation should have been increased slightly more to like 2 or 3. So far, I haven’t have a successful capture of an Evil Great White Shark.

    – Tried Ace Angler Party, you can get up to 5 golden tokens per game.

    – Ace Angler+ (or Arcade mode), or what I would like to call it the main game element, is entirely luck-based. This is all on the size of the fish, rank of rod used, and uses of thunder bolt. For instance, using a legend rod on a common fish will give you higher chance of successful capture. Not a 100% guarantee capture since the game can just mock you by purposely rigging the fail capture of a low-tiered fish.

    – Gacha is okay at its best and fair. Thankfully, you can buy fish separately if you don’t want to go through spinning turns and getting same species of fish. Getting the same species will give you gold tokens instead.

    – Framerate issues upon starting when in handheld mode. Unknown for docked mode.

    – I am mad that lure bait in arcade mode cannot be purchased and is obtained through daily missions.
