If you’re to compare it to any game in the switch right now, which one would it be? Thinking about trying it out but never really played any sonic game and from what I’ve read before even the sonic community itself isn’t too fond of its recent games

Look I’ve been wanting to play Sonic Frontiers but the confirmation of more playable characters is really amping that up.
Really excited about the playable characters again. I’m glad the series went back to its roots of Sonic only to course correct Sonic ’06 but god damn I’ve missed playing as Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Rouge, etc. all these years since SA2
All for free too, now just take out the speedometer and put in a mini map.

Why though? Why waste time on all this stuff when the team could spend that time refining the major flaws in this game’s controls and pop in for a sequel now that Frontiers has laid the ground work?

Yah but. The game is just….lacking…. I saw the attempt and strategy. The environments are nice. But it’s so bland, basic, and repetitive. This is a $20 game at its core or a game that should have been released for Wii-U. I love sonic to death but it’s just not fulfilling
Ahh, good, I’ll patiently await until all the updates are there and the game is complete
But we’ll never get what we really want… Sonic Mania 2
