8-bit antiques is a clever gag. Nicely done.

I do like that they’re seemingly not shying away from using music from the games. Feel like that’s something video game movies are usually weirdly reluctant to do.
TheOtherWhiteCastle
Chris Pratt actually sounds a lot better as Mario in this one. Also the gag with the clear pipes is brilliant
inkypinkyblinky
This score is going to be fucking awesome.
A_Crafty_Otter
God this visually just looks so fun
Thoushaltdenycheese
Jesus that score was phenomenal.

I can’t express how happy this whole sequence made me feel.
The music is a huge plus on top of how every toad is doing something; the world really does feel alive. Just absolutely fantastic.

The music completely blew me away. Hearing iconic video game themes like mario transposed as a film score is kinda surreal and it seems theyre gonna go full out with it. The Mario 64 theme at 0:49 god fuckin damn.

There’s a surprising amount of 3D World references in this clip alone. Cat bells in the antique shop, clear pipes, and Mario’s runnning animation is from that game. It’s really cool to see references not from just the og 2d games and 64.

The Capy Cap stores from Odyssey are there!!!
acrookednose
This looks stupid good

If I wasn’t already super excited for this movie, this clip has done it for me. I loved everything about this sequence and I genuinely cannot wait for the movie
BluDragn77
Just keeps looking better and better
HyliasHero
This movie is looking better and better. I’m actually properly excited now.
Guardian_Bravo
Man, I can’t wait for this movie!

I think the Toad shopkeeper was Martinet
literallyheretopost
It’s enough to make a grown man cry
GuayabaTree
This movie looks so amazing
HeyItsStevenField
I like how the score is from the actual games, and using the actual game obstacles as a normality in the kingdom
guardian-deku
The more they show us, the more I’m looking forward to this. They really did put a lot of hard work into this and it shows.
deceptibot9
Wow this honestly looks great. I’ve been excited by the trailers but occasionally trailers can be deceiving so seeing a full clip like this is giving me a lot of faith in this movie. I couldn’t be more excited
toadfan64
Considering my username, I’m always happy to see more clips of Toad and other Toads in Toad Town here.
Placiibo
This movie is going to be huge.
griffmeister
Chris Pratt sounds like he’s doing a Brooklynite Peter Griffin
FusionSwarly
This looks so amazing! I’m not sure if this is an intentional detail but the cities seemed designed similarly to captain toad levels, without big jumps and stuff since mushroom people cant jump very high.
MrDarkboy2010
It’s so weird to me that when he says ‘So these bricks are just floating here?’ it’s actually a decent Mario voice, but then on the next line he says ‘Oh wow’ and it’s just Chris Pratt again.
Revolutionary_Box569
The NSMB ‘bah’ as he’s coming out of the pipe
imteractive
My kid is going to force me to watch this a thousand times… … today
atllauren
I love that they are seemingly mocking some of the absurdity of the pipes/platforming in Mario games, and how that transitions into a world where people live.
Keegan-Michael Key’s Toad voice is perfect.
Zeth_Aran
Still not digging Chris’s voice. The visual are amazing tho.
