Wow. I mean I know the whole premise has been screaming “Three Houses x Heroes” since the beginning but seeing those “lesser” character summons and being able to combine them… It’s a more direct Heroes mechanic than I actually expected.
Really it’s impossible to judge the actual battles without playing it, and it’s possible the rest of the gameplay has been more streamlined since Three Houses. It could still be a great game. But man, it just irks me the lengths they’re going to in order to make this Three Heroes.
Yes, Heroes is likely the larger player base at this point. But isn’t the point of exposure through other side games like that to get people interested in the main titles? Just like with Smash Bros reps. I just feel like they should’ve tried making a Fire Emblem game and seeing if the Heroes audience stuck around. Changing the core of the series from tactical maps to exploration and summoning is a pretty big deal. Idk. I just hope they continue the Echoes line soon and the remake rumor was also true to satisfy those who want more traditional games.

Man I’ve loved Fire Emblem since the first US release but I just cannot be excited about this. I hope it’s good, but the whole aesthetic and this summon thing really look bad to me.

They brought back Fates rubbing mechanics (for rings but still sounds very intimate) and shojo style Private Quarters crap is back again.
I think this is the final push I need to say I’m passing on the game. It’s like they brought all the disgusting aspects from Fates back again.
The fact that the home base basically looks and feels like a Disney Resort is also disgusting. This game clear doesn’t have a speck of seriousness to it.

Man I just cannot get over that terrible hair choice. It’s honestly a dealbreaker for me. Crazy seeing as how I absolutely loved three houses. This just…doesn’t click
