So I recently ordered an extra pair of joy cons from walmart.com, I will admit it is my fault because I didn’t read the reviews before ordering, but to be fair the product pictures showed the official thing, and they were being sold for retail price.
Anyways, They just came today, and I found out there fake lol, I went back and read the reviews, and multiple people also said this. I’d be fine if I got these at a discount or something, but the fact that I paid retail price for fake joy cons pisses me off. So uh, don’t get joy cons at walmart, or any tech for that matter lol.
Also heres the listing for those that are wondering- [https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nintendo-Switch-Joy-Con-Pair-Neon-Red-and-Neon-Blue/55449978](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nintendo-Switch-Joy-Con-Pair-Neon-Red-and-Neon-Blue/55449978)

Just return and leave review.
Also, you gotta read when purchasing online. People are scummy.

Tells you all you need to know, really.
To be clear, you didn’t purchase from Walmart. You purchased from a third party seller who just so happens to use [Walmart.com](https://Walmart.com) to sell their stuff.
You should always be cautious on any platform when the seller’s listed address is China.
Walmart does have a [Pro Seller program](https://marketplace.walmart.com/pro-seller-badge/) which you can usually be more confident in the purchases.
Man, this is SO haikouhuangdajukejiyouxiangongsi. As soon as I read OP’s post I immediately slapped myself on the forehead and said “HAIKOUHUANGDAJUKEJIYOUXIANGONGSI!”
Textbook haikouhuangdajukejiyouxiangongsi. You almost admire it.
Get joycons at Walmart, there’s nothing wrong with them. Don’t buy joycons online from shitty vendors selling on walmarts website
Is this legal in the USA? Considering that the picture shows clearly the nintendo brand and that the describtion claims stuff usualy not found in knock offs like IR Motion and Camera i believe this would be a ticking time bomb for a retailer in Europe.
Can’t blame you for ordering as the reviews are not the description offered just an addition and overall more then 4 stars (hi, fake reviews?) does not look like it is the wrong product.
Always check the sold and shipped by area.
Op, as others mentioned, you purchased from a third party seller.
BUT.. if the listing you linked to is the one you purchased from, it’s specifically for oem joy cons and this should be an easy return. Get in touch with Walmart and let them know what happened.
Third party seller or not, they shouldn’t be shipping third party joy cons from a listing that’s specifically for Nintendo branded ones
Be careful on Amazon too! I bought “new” PS4 controllers there, sold by Amazon and marked as being official from Sony. Arrived open and obviously fake.
A lesson for online shoppers using Walmart or Best Buy: use the filter to remove third-party options from the product list.
