Lol why. This system works great. No reason to make people buy all new systems.

  2. People are aware that Zelda games can just release on a console and don’t have to be tied to a console launch, right? Because that fact seems inconceivable to some armchair developers.

I disagree. Strongly. A more powerful Switch successor without any other selling points would be a massive mistake.

People don’t play Nintendo games for cutting edge graphics. Aside from making games prettier, what would a new console actually enable Nintendo to do? That’s exactly how you get another console that no one buys (a Wii U situation).

Switch is good enough to do what it needs to do. I think Nintendo should wait until VR becomes more economical and make a VR machine as the Switch’s successor.

Switch is pretty good. The RPGs are on point I’ve been happier with it than Wii or GameCube for sure. I’ve bought more games for this system than the others which is saying something because I’m much older than I was when I played alot.

Then the NEXT zelda wil be accused of not looking good enough

  6. Zelda is exactly the worst example here. TotK is built on top of BotW, a launch title that played very well on the console… Why would we need a new console for a game that will probably have a very decent performance in the current hardware?

If anything I’d cite Pokémon as an example, but it’ll still be a couple more years until the next generation, compared to TotK release in a few months.

You know what we really need? Especially those subscribed here, perhaps more than anyone?

Perspective. Go hug your loved ones.

Yeah. The Nintendo Switch doesn’t even have as fast a CPU or GPU as the 2022 Moto G Stylus phone.

The Nintendo Switch’s CPU and GPU respectively are 7.9 GHZ and 768 MHZ, versus the 2022 Moto G Stylus’ 14.4 GHZ and 850 MHZ.

Granted the 2022 Moto G Stylus is the same price as the Switch. But if a phone of the same price outperforms the Switch, it’s probably time for Nintendo to start working on developing a new console. The Switch graphics are nice but it’s good to keep moving forward.
