Let me start off by saying I’m happy you’re having fun. I really am. I want everyone to have fun with the products they buy. I pre-ordered the game as well. But criticism is due where criticism is due.
I can see you purchased the double pack. This would be indicative that you’re a fan of the franchise. And that’s great. I returned my single order back to Amazon and I’ve never returned a Pokemon Game before. I’ve always played the hell out of them. But this generation was truly the last straw as far as visuals and performance goes.
Sure. One can argue that if you’re enjoying it then who cares. And I’m going to give you a reason why you should. Take a look at the consistent degradation and decline in quality these games have begun to suffer because Gamefreak has not had a wakeup call. Sw Sh suffered from visuals but they were still playable. Very boring games. But playable none the less. Legends arceus was super fun and had major steps forward. But I began to notice the stuttering animations and lack of polish and it was really unfortunate because that game had some of the best elements introduced into a pokemon game.
Now we arrive at scarlet and violet. Dude. Come on…. look at this mess. I’m a fan boy and even I see it. This game was literally scraped together and they’ve even foregone features that have been present in every pokemon game.
I used to see a door in these games and know I can go inside. Now I might not be able to? All these texture clippings. Inconsistent FPS to THIS DEGREE. This is all a major cause for concern.
The funny thing is by purchasing these games. You’re also HURTING THE DEVS. Because game freak will just keep turning the machine up at high speed likely causing mass burnout with these people. Their burnout is literally evident in the lack of polish and lack of features. The fact that pokemon games never get a delay once announced is very telling.
So. If you’re enjoying the games. Great. I’m happy for you. But even so. Don’t ignore the issues.
We lost the national dex. That was a sore point for a lot of people. Let’s not settle for lack of quality and polish as well.

Congrats, I got the double-pack too! The game doesn’t run great, even gives me a slight headache sometimes from the fps drops, but I am looking forward to the new Pokémon. All any of us can hope for is an update to fix some of these performance issues.
