lots of spoilers in that trailer for previous games
July 7, 2023 for the release date
I wish I could watch this trailer but at the risk of seeing spoilers I gotta kill my hype. Been playing through the series in order and just got into Trails in the sky SC. Highly recommend people try this series if you have the means to play the older games.
make sure you have played Zero and Azure before watching this to avoid relevant spoilers for the Crossbell arc, which is hard to do since only one of those two games has currently been released as of yet.
I have this series on the Vita and I love it but damn they need to update their graphics/presentation. It still looks like a Vita game sort of.
“the legend of heroes” has to be the most generic title ever made
To whom it may concern, don’t watch this shit. Release date is half a year from now
Is this the sequel to Project Rectangle?
Not looking forward to the bad performance.
I tried to give a chance to cold steel 3 and 4 on switch but their technical issues made me give up and I played them elsewhere instead. I was expecting the technical aspect of cold steel 4 to be improved upon 3 but it wasn’t.
I still remember how I had to save often in cs3 because the game would randomly crash on switch.
I beat Trails in the Sky and I stopped somewhere a year or two ago in the middle of Trails in the Sky SC. Is this game/series worth trying to pick back up? Is the story good enough?
I definitely liked it, although slow, and I thought the combat system was fun and engaging. The last time I tried to pick it back up it was pretty confusing but I figured out where to go eventually, then never played again.
For those interested that do not already know what this is. It’s a JRPG with a heavy emphasis on a story that is told over 12 games, This is #10 and 11 and 12 have come out in japan already, but won’t be localized for a few years.
Gameplay is a mix between small tactical battles with jrpg mechanics.
As for the universal question “Can I start with this game?”
If you just want to see the gameplay, this is probably the most streamlined version of this gameplay with the most QOL.
But the story is probably going to be a tad difficult to follow, as well as the overall significance of some of the events. It’ll also contain spoilers for every prior game.
I’m sure gamers will have the opportunity to enjoy most if not all the games in the West all on one platform someday.
Gosh dang it I misread that as the legend of Zelda
So which games are available (or soon to be available) in English, and what’s the order to play them?
Can anyone give the stupid version for the Legend of Heroes series? All I need is Rean haha meme.
Mom, can we get Xenoblade Chronicles?
Mom: We have Xnoblade Chronicles at home
*Xenoblade Chronicles at home:*
Someone needs to slap XSeed up the head to get the Sjy trilogy and Cold Steel 1 and 2 on Switch
I’m so keen for it. I played trails in the sky 1 and 2 and cold steel 1 and am about a third or so through the 2nd but so many games have distracted me at the moment. I do have trails of cold steel 3 and 4 and zero on switch waiting for me to get to them though!
Wish the Sky trilogy and CS 1 & 2 were more accessible…I want to play these games so dang much 😭
Another reminder to finish Cold Steel IV. I really need to get back on that. It would be nice to enjoy a Trails game on launch day with everyone.
Two questions, do you need to play previous titles of this series to fully enjoy this game or are they disjointed? And is the japanese VA available?
