Idea: Quick Appraisal. An option that when selected in settings, would show Pokemon IVs and star rating when selecting Pokemon. This would make the experience fluid, and you wouldn’t have to worry about transfering Pokemon with PvP stats

And to avoid having the main “appraisal” from the trainer turning useless, it could be revamped to have them explain whether a Pokemon is viable in PvP or Raids for the new players, even if they don’t understand IVs.
“This Pokemon is fierce! It would make a great Raid attacker!”
“This Pokemon is sturdy! It would make a great Gym defender!”
“This Pokemon is competitive! It would do great in the Battle League!”
So the quick appraisal would be there for veterans/IV-oriented people, while main Appraisal would be an option for newer players to get a hint on what to do with specific IVs.
Edit: for Pokemon that are great for multiple things, the text could be:
“This Pokemon is versatile! It’ll be useful in most scenarios!”
Good idea. Therefore Niantic will never incorporate it.
Would be cool if there was the option to order pokemons based on IV % too rather than just CP, HP etc.
Whenever you have a good idea like this think what would Niantic do? The answer is always the exact opposite
That would be awesome! even if it just showed the IVs when you click into the Pokémon that’s still a hundred times better than three clicks to go to bars > appraise > skip whatever Blanche says, then finally see it.
can do this just holding the pokémon during selection
It would be nice to get a appraisal before you catch it so you can auto delete
Just search for 0-1attack&3-4defense&3-4defense if you don’t like manually going through them.
Excellent idea!
That could be nice! A little trick if you weren’t aware, OP, type into the Pokémon search bar “0*,1*,2*” and it will display everything except for 3* appraised pokemon. That way, you can mass transfer without worrying about dumping any good mons with respect to IV. If you like to keep 2*s, adjust accordingly. Happy hunting!
Niantic: Quick? We don’t do that here.
Niantic: “No.”
Us: “Why not?”
Niantic: *puts fingers in ears and goes “lalala” until we go away.*
Niantic has been fiercely competing with Nekki, they might be listening closely as we speak
I rename my Pokémon 15/15/15 or 0/15/15 so I can see their stats. I know what every Pokémon is already by the picture.
Niantic is too busy working on worthless features. Like new stickers and weight record notifications. Like wth, since when does their weight or height have anything to do with performance? Did I miss something or what.
I wish.
Best they can do is a $10 gift box with stickers in it.
This is only really relevant when you are using fast-catching, which is a glitch, so unless Niantic makes official option to skip cutscene, which I doubt, we don’t get this
I made the same suggestion 8 months ago, but no one like that –__–“:

Then people can stop naming their pokemon “Magnemite1️⃣3️⃣🔹1️⃣3️⃣🔹1️⃣5️⃣”
0-1attack&3-4defense&3-4hp&age0
This is my search string i saved for cdays. And i am checking of course if they are hundos.
I am favouriting the pokemon and delete the rest.
Offtopic: Is it somehow possible to invert a string?
This would be probably the best quality of life feature added in a long time if they could pull it off.
That would be awesome

I mean… why is this NOT a thing yet…?
I absolutely love it
Speaking of pvp stats can someone tell me why for pvp you want to have a low attack stat? I always see people saying this but no reason as to why they do it
