I have used 99,8% isopropyl alcohol to clean my joycons. I found out that it can destroy the paint yet they look fine to me. Does it mean that the alcohol vapors away before it causes any damage or are my eyes just bad?

It evaporates, looks good. You can dilute with some water next time if you’re still worried.
