Ideally aside from “that GBA game”. Y’know…
With the Live A Live remake getting tons of praise from RPG fans everywhere, and remakes of the first three Front Mission games on the horizon, this seems like a good time to ask in my opinion. This can also include games that released in Europe but not America or the other way around, such as Disaster: Day of Crisis, Another Code R, or Terranigma.
Over the past few years, the Switch has surprised us with a bevy of Japanese made games that previously never saw the light of day outside of their home country. Almost all of them are old games with an official translation, but they’re deeply appreciated nonetheless. Here are all the ones off the top of my head:
**[Famicom Detective Club](https://youtu.be/0Qw_6v9xN7s):** These two remakes were co-developed with Mages and feature full Japanese voice acting, animated cutscenes, and a digital discount if you buy each game separately on the eShop. So if you only knew about Ayumi Tachibana from Smash Bros trophies, now’s your chance to check it out.
**[Trials of Mana](https://youtu.be/OE9tcYSRFqI):** Known only under its Japanese name Seiken Densetsu 3 for the longest time, this elusive third entry in the Mana series only recently saw an official Western localization in 2019 via the Switch-exclusive Collection of Mana. This was followed by the remake a few years later, which added full voice acting and 3D gameplay into the mix. A truly great pick for any Mana fan.
**[Fire Emblem 1](https://youtu.be/8xNUYS-tJZQ):** To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the series, Nintendo decided to localize the very first game in the series for international audiences via the Nintendo eShop. This version comes with a few extra features including save states and fast forwarding, but it was delisted a few months after launch much like Mario 3D All Stars before it. So if you missed out, you missed out.
**[Fatal Frame 4](https://youtu.be/EFIIwVboi-o):** It was a bit of a surprise to see Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water was not only getting ported over from Wii U, but that it would be going multiplatform as well. What was extra surprising was seeing the fourth entry also coming over for the first time. What a time to be a Fatal Frame / Project Zero fan.
**[Panel de Pon](https://youtu.be/Fq7D2Rpc9jg):** This just kinda popped out of nowhere one day for NSO players. I can’t really comment since I haven’t played it myself, but I’m happy for those that can finally play it!

We still need Cold Steel 1 & 2 in english on the Switch.
Really wish they settled that licensing nightmare.
Buddy Mission BOND
Captain Rainbow
Fire Emblem 4-6
SMT 1/2/IF
Legendary Starfy 1-4
Aokana Extra 1+2. The original game was great, these extra stories are coming to Switch, and they are already localized, so from my (uninformed) point of view, it should be relatively little work to get the translations here as well.
On that same note, with the recent release of Mahoyo, it would be really nice if Fate or Tsukihime got translated on the Switch too.
I really want higurashi and umineko on switch in English
metabots and LBX
Would love to see the legend of the river king series back to life.
