Allows a user to join a specific raid lobby by typing it in
Useful for busy areas where multiple lobbies are open at the same gym

Generally speaking it’s for private lobbies if you are raiding in person. There are situations where you need it to remote raid whether it’s private or not. The most common example is this. You finish remote raid A and decide you’re going to run from the boss to join remote raid B. If you do that, you’ll need the code to join. (Don’t ask me why, but it works that way)

I remember how people would actively use these codes to not allow other “teams” members join their raid. That’s how ridiculous humans can be… it would be like 7mystic players and 3 Valor players at the raids and the mystics players used the codes so that Valor players couldn’t raid with them.

I’ve only ever used it when it was community day and my friends and I were trying to beat deoxys together. There were too many people trying and we weren’t getting into the same lobby so we typed the code to join the right one to do it together

Back in the day my town would have over 30 people show up to some raids (before remote passes). Was very helpful to split into 7-8 person groups with a few carries for people under 30. Idk how it’s used nowadays, I just raid with the same 5 friends

I used to use it when I coordinated during raid hour; we had dozens of people in a discord group being rotated in and out of the raids, and this prevented random people from hopping in and using up a spot (we were maxing out the lobby every time).

Once in Raids in person with over 20 people. So you can separate by team colours for bonus.

In person raiding to join specific lobbies. Not needed for remote raiding

Never had to use it but people already explained it. Max I’ve had like 7 or 8 people raiding with me at a time.

Back in my day we had to have private groups to fight raids if we wanted to ensure we fought with our friends.

Back in the OG legendary bird raids we would have 30-60 people show up so we would have each Team (valor, mystic, instinct have a lobby to get extra balls.
