Fire Emblem Engage – Full Opening w/ English Vocals + title screen.
Dropped on YouTube right now via N1-UP, a Dutch Nintendo website. They recorded it during a preview session. [https://youtu.be/Vm1QQZWhgWk](https://youtu.be/Vm1QQZWhgWk)

Fire Emblem finally got an anime opening.

What a joke. Turning a franchise initially known for being a serious or at least semi-serious medievel fantasy into freaking Power Rangers.
I don’t know what’s worse. The fact that Intelligent Systems thought it was a good idea, or the fact that fans on the main Fire Emblem reddit are eating it up like it’s the best thing ever.

Cease and desist in 5…4….3….

Not sure how I feel about the opening but the game itself looks great so I’m not too worried about it either way

Member berries the game. The lyrics even have “remember these guys!” In them (paraphrasing)

When Engage was first revealed, I felt kind of iffy on it, but I’ve come around by now; maybe it *is* cheesy, but it’s endearingly cheesy. Alear’s design has crossed over from “dumb” to “so dumb it’s fun” for me over the past few months. All the people I’ve seen making Power Rangers jokes about this opening feel spot on the money. When the next more serious Fire Emblem game rolls around, I’m sure I’ll eat it up, but I’m plenty happy to have this, too.

Idk I’ve been enjoying the games having main lyrical compositions but this one just doesn’t feel like it fits. I think I figured it out halfway through: I’ve spent so much time listening to Lost in Thoughts, Heritors of Arcadia, and Edge of Dawn that… some dude singing the opening felt out of place. Maybe I’ll get used to it.
The animations were good though, and the start screen with the basic “Fire Emblem Engage” narration was consistent. Maybe after I hear the song a few dozen more times…

So much copium in the comments 😬

I’m not a fan. I miss Fire Emblem having a more grounded fantasy setting. It’s too anime now.

I like the song but it just doesn’t seem to fit the game tbh

Feels like Shakugan no Shana

I’m still confused as to what the heck this game is. Best of? Hall of Fame?

Would you rather your dad walk in on you playing this or walk in on you playing the little mermaid ‘swim this way’ rhythm game from kingdom hearts?

I only ever played 3 houses and I loved it. 300+ hours.
