ELI5 why every single discussion about this game is about who can f**k who in the game? I thought this is some kind of award winning turn based tactics RPG, strange that all discussions online since the leak talk nearly exclusively about how many straight/gay marriages are possible.
And these constantly spawning threads everywhere that “BEWARE the game leaked and you certainly don’t want to know that X and Y can marry, Z can have platonic relationship with W and V can be a gay couple with U”.
This is so strange.
God Fire Emblem is basically a dating sim now, huh? I wish they would bring back another franchise so there isn’t as much cringe. Three Houses was highest level of cringe

There are people seriously thinking of skipping this game because of this revelation? I wouldn’t give a shit if you can make out with a pig, as long as the core gameplay is untouched and is faithful to past games then that’s all that matters.

Been finishing up Persona 5 on the Switch, and this weekend, P3P, P4G AND FE Engage are releasing. I just do not have the time to play all of these.
Note: Some of the parings have to be platonic because a few of the characters are literally 10 or 11.

Okay serious question since everyone here would be a relatively dedicated fire emblem fan.
Does the game look to stand to the quality of the others?
I’m a fairly casual fan, I’ve played awakening, that’s about it. I enjoyed it a lot. I own three houses and plan on playing it after I finish up Crisis Core and I’ve beaten the ones on the Wii and GameCube albeit years ago to the point I don’t really remember much other than enjoying them a lot.
Thé announcement of DLC before the game even came out along with like the characters frankly trashy design are kinda concerning me that this has less to do with the quality and more to with money and that they’ll spit anything out.
Am I wrong? I see this sentiment shared a bit but I figure only fans would be able to point out some other flaws or features I wouldn’t be able to notice or appreciate otherwise.
