    This feels more like a sun and moon episode, motion isn't stunted and having the pokemon as a common entourage with the cast gives more room for the pokemon to show off their personality

    Ash didn't lose using his world championship team, so this win isn't as satisfying on Misty's end. Plus these are pokemon Ash hadn't used in AGES, so they are likely under leveled/powered. Weird he lost with 2 grass types and an electric type though.

    Latias is cool and all but Ash catching ho-oh would have brought the whole series full circle. But then again latias has more personality than ho-oh and ho-oh wouldn't stick around and follow Ash imo

    I think this shows the journey to be a POKEMON MASTER, not undefeated POKEMON CHAMPION!
    As a master u shouldnt ignore your pokemon’s feeling thats why ash let corphis battle istead of pikachu who def will defeat every single misty’s pokemon or rowlet/leafany who are grass type.
    It isnt about winning, its about becoming a pokemon master

    You need to understand Misty was using her gym's probably second strongest Pokemon because she called her polytoad the Guardian Pokemon. And Ash was not even using a main Pokemon of his, Corphish is not even in the top 20 strong Pokemon of his and also the fact that he left them without using them in battles like Misty who uses her Pokemon for Gym battles.

    Was just a friendly battle.
    if it was a really decisive battle, like winning in a championship or something, ash would have used some or the other out of the box strategy to defeat misty.

    also whats the point in giving ash a latias OTHER THAN the Latias in the movie???

    This brought back so many memories as a kid watching the original first seasons. Ash and Misty have come a long way but their old selves are still in there. Awesome call back. And Misty finally joins ash again. Though, I still miss Togepi!😢

    I'm really going to miss ash this episode has everything i wanted, ash bringing his different pokemon and how they react to each other the og companion and sass katchem. im in my 30s i should be able to accept change…….. but this hits different.
