so last time these were available in North America, there was wording that made it clear it would be a limited thing and that after [insert date here] you wouldn’t be able to buy them anymore.

Not seeing anything like that on the store page, so cautiously optimistic these are just here to stay this time.

This is what counts as a deal on Nintendo games. You can buy 5 year old games for $50 if you buy 2 at a time and you’re subscribed to our online subscription plan.

  3. gilbertsquatch

Here’s hoping this stays around until LoZ: TofK is out.

  4. TunaSafari25

I don’t understand, what is this exactly?

  5. WinterExpensive2875

Use Nintendo gift cards to buy these. You can usually find some on sale. So really it’s more like 80-90$ for two games.

  6. So for Costco members you can get $100 in giftcards for $90.

Your $90 nets you $1.80 for the purchase using a Costco rewards card, $120 + what you would have paid in tax + $5 in gold coins for day 1 digital purchases / preorders.

If they announce Prime 4 coming out within a year of Zelda, I’m in.

Never really bothered with these the first time around cuz Walmart had physical games for the same price at launch. But all the programs have gone away and no one seems too keen about giving out day-1 discounts anymore. Could be worth it for the new Kirby and Pokémon Violet, at least considering it took nearly a full year for Forgotten Land to see any significant discount

Could you get Kirby Return to Dreamland and Zelda TotK with these?

  10. AirbendingScholar

I didn’t even notice they left, how long were they gone?

  11. AortaPlatinum

maybe if they put their games on sale more than like twice a year and didn’t keep them at full price forever they wouldn’t have to do this stupid shit

  12. namelesschocobo

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I never partook in these Vouchers in the past.
Are new games added to the eligible games list as they release? For example, I’m most curious to see if Octopath Traveller 2 will be added?

  13. stackfan

If they include Zelda I’ll jump… otherwise I’ll just wait and get Zelda at launch. The older stuff doesn’t interest me at 50$ as I either already own it, or it’s not worth 50$ imo.

  14. eddstarX

These are the best for day 1 release games

  15. tinkgunt

Meanwhile in Canada, it’s $133 for the two vouchers and games are $80 up here. I know it’s the same deal, but it still feels like a scam or something, lol.

Hm, I feel like it was a better deal last time. This time around there aren’t really any games that I don’t already own, would prefer to own digitally instead of physically, and are worth $50. Last time there were quite a few games to choose from that I’d prefer digitally (which I of course purchased with the vouchers).

  17. What are the odds of totk being in there on releae

  18. CrimsonicTears

Only really good for buying day 1 of a game’s release. Most of nintendo first party games should be costing $30-$50 anyways

  19. can we just have normal ass sales why they gotta make this complicated

  20. pokemon_master69

Is there a way to see if you ever redeemed your vouchers?… I bought the first one… I dont remember ever using it unfortunately and now that I look at this one, it looks like they expire….

  21. ShadooTH

So you save $20 but switch online costs $20 for a year. Thanks nintendo.

  22. Tae_Kwon_DO

does the trial period for NSO qualify u to buy this?

  23. Gabriel-Klos-McroBB

I’d use them for Pokken DX and Rescue Team DX, though I also recommend Live A Live.

  24. Majin_Bisharp

Kinda want one so I can finally get smash bros digitally since it never goes on sale, and maybe a pkmn game too since those also never go on sale digitally either.

  25. Mario kart 8 deluxe isn’t included. I have dlc because the online expansion pass but not the game.

  26. Clean-And-Simple

Can I use PayPal to purchase this?

  27. username999989999999

The Fuck is this shit these vouchers are $135 AUS plus the $70-$90 dollars for games that’s about $275 for the vouchers plus two $80 games which is $140 with the $20 off combined price (plus Nintendo online that’s $6 to $60)

I can get the same games (SMT V for $69 and DAEMON X MACHINA for $39) brand new at JB HI-Fi for $108

yeah Great deal Nintendo how about next time you just discount your games like everyone else
