Never understood why these went away only in North America.
Hope they are coming back. As someone who’s pretty much all digital nowadays, it was kinda neat back in 2019 having basically every 1st party game effectively be $10 off from day one.

I’d buy so many more games if we had this. There’s definitely a few that I’d go “Might as well” and pick them up. Origami King, Pikmin 3, Kirby’s Forgotten Land , just to name a few

I live in europe no one ever uses these you can most often sace more on physical games.

As a UK resident that was using these at first as a way to go all digital, its still a bad deal, you will waste them on a game and you will be stuck with that game. They only apply to nintendo products and they never go down in price so buying games retrospectively is a raw deal, because you would be better buying them on sale digitally or preowned physically. They also expire and are non refundable. Its literally just for a day one discount on 2 games that in the long run isn’t a good deal, like at all, but people tend to go for immediate gratification even if its a bad deal.

Ok. So promise to buy 2 $60 dollar games for $100. You will save $20.
Not a terrible deal, but nothing to get too excited about. NSO would be better if they added actual games that you can play. I don’t care about stickers or icons. They should also fix N64 controls, which are unplayable. Also, they should add Gameboy and GBA.

Yeah this is great, when they came out I was super excited as it was exactly the time when I was wanting to go all digital and this was enough to push me to do so. Then they stopped selling them lol, but let’s hope they are back.
Also a lot of people have said it’s $20, what’s the big deal? It’s a couple things, I personally probably buy 4-5 first party games a year from Nintendo, that’s $50 in savings a year (a free game), I do always buy day one so I wouldn’t get a sale price anyway. Also I do buy and load my account with gift cards first and I get at least 10% off of the $100 one always plus 5% cash back. Basically if they come back I will pay $85 for the $100 voucher that is always $20 off and that’s 2 first party games saving $35 day one, pretty awesome.

These are good, but still doesn’t touch the kinda discounts you’ll find on steam

Shame that there’s only 3 games left that I want. Kirby, Zelda and the last Pokemon (that I was waiting for a performance patch, but I guess it won’t happen)
