Always love Modern Vintage Gamer. Gives credit where it’s due but doesn’t sugarcoat.

Goldeneye was mess when it first came out also, you would know this if you actually played the n64 version…

I’m having fun playing it, but I will agree that it is a mess. They REALLY need to fix the control problem. I’m absolutely no good at this game unless I’m using an N64 controller, but the only one that works is the official one they have for $50, which the price alone is bad enough, but it’s not even in stock to buy.

It is a mess.
The XBLA version is great though. Nice visual overhaul, 60 FPS and a much more playable control scheme.

Remember when the virtual console was a thing, and people were complaining that Paper Mario was a total bitch to play with a Wii Classic Controller?
What did people do? How did they survive?
Could it be that they took a few seconds to remap the controls, or found a more suitable controller for the emulated N64 rom?
Why are we suddenly demanding that all these N64 VC games become actual ports with a bunch of updates and changes?

For anyone that has really, *actually* played the original, this is clearly an improvement, if not least by fps. Try detonating 5 remote mines on the n64 version and watch the frame rate compared to the emulation.
People want to whinge about it to get clicks and shares.
