How many catches do you have in total then?
F
You’re not alone
Shundo post are really rare here, especially considering how easily anyone will just post catching a shiny or a hundo. I’d say most players, even those who’ve been players for years, don’t have a shundo.
It’s because they usually have caught much more than you, especially during community days.
Also not “everyone” gets it. A handful will post it here out of literally millions caught.
Set your expectations lower. It’s a 1 in 80k or so event during community days. Worse otherwise.
My friend got a shiny hundo Noibat today
163913, no shundo.
Do lucky trades shundos count?
Same
if someone calls out a hundo on comm day you have a 1/25 chance of it being a shundo. this is why there’s more shundo posts on this subreddit on comm days than any other day
Same man… 2017 player, 108k catches, 30k trades, 88 shiny luckies, 7 of which are 98%, and I’ve been responsible for giving someone else a shundo twice in trades. We will find ours some day…
shundos are overrated
Sometimes it isn’t how LONG you’ve been playing, but how CONSISTENT you’ve been playing. I’ve seen plenty of people upset that they haven’t caught a shundo and they reveal that they only play on and off over the years.
I gotta ask how many pokemon have you caught over your PoGo career?
I really don’t care about shundos, I care about shinies and relevant pvp moms seperatey. The rare shiny PvP mon is cool, but not needed. Most of the time I’m still maxing the better non-shiny.
What is a shundo lol
The way I think of it is, people on this sub play from all over the world. If you think about the massive number of people out there playing this game, statistically there’s bound to be a lot of people who get very lucky. You’re seeing a ton of rare luck from everywhere, so don’t let it discourage you.
I only have one shundo Weavile after 70k plus catches, the struggle is real
Day 1 player, still don’t have one. I don’t play as much as I used to, and I really only play out of obligation, but I’m not stopping until either I finally get a shundo or they shut it down. Preferably I want to catch it myself, and not have it be a trade.
Reading everyone else’s catch stats and zero hundred is making me feel better. Someday I’ll get my shiny hundo, shiny shadow and dare to dream… a shiny shadow hundo.
8k caught 2 shundos, neither are com day or lucky they are insanely rare but you will get one eventually keep pushing
My advice is to go for field researches. They have the same floor and a higher chance
Lol 47, 80k+ catches, day 1 player , 0 shundos.
To be fair I’ve taken a few breaks, but meh doesn’t bother me
I feel that, galarian birds and shundos are my white whales of this game
Same here (been playing since week 1), did a lucky trade today with a friend for our shiny noibats, she got a shundo and I got a 14/14/15. So close yet so far
Hey, think of it this way. You have a low chance of getting one. OR you can be like me and have a literal ZERO chance as I forgot it was community day yesterday. My week is already ruined and I’ve been awake for 3 hours.
You’re not alone. The grind continues…
6/1/2019 player… One shundo from a lucky trade (Lugia w/Aero).
Assuming the IV numbers are chosen randomly, the odds of getting a hundo are 1 chance in 3375.
The odds of encountering a shiny pokemon in the wild is about 1 chance in 500.
Combining those, the odds of any random pokemon encounter resulting in a shundo is about 1 chance in 1.69 million.
The odds are much better with pokemon captured from raids. The odds of a shiny in a raid is about 1 chance in 10. Since there is a minimum IV value of 10 from raids, the odds of a hundo are 1 in 216. The combined result is 1 chance in 2160 that you will get a shiny hundo from a raid.
Day 2 player and I finally got my shundo when Dratini had their most recent mini event day.
