i would be SO upset man, i’m so sorry that happened

  2. ForeverBackground737

Pop an incense and go on a walk. That alone should net you 60 pokemon if you keep walking.
Combining it with all the wild spawns, especially on community days, you can catch 300+ pokemon in less than 2 hours.

  3. ItsDanii_Baby

This was super easy for me. I just went to the park for a little bit lol.

  4. Luckily I have an auto catcher. I can get 200 Pokémon in a day easily. They really are a game changer.

  5. SnooOpinions478

Gotta learn quick catching. If you quick catch you can get this done any day with like an hour of play max

  6. How Can you not manage to catch 200 on CD?!
I was Holding a birthday, so i missed around 1 hour and 20-30 minutes of CD, but I still managed to catch 200 noibats lol

  7. TheGyrfalcon168

Community day with high density lured stops and using fast catch and you’ll have this done in no time. I cleared just shy of 600 noibat in 3 hours today, so 200 in a day is definitely doable 😁

  8. ecole033

Thats alright i know its shit but youll get it next time! I believe in you!

Community day makes it easier, but also save your reward encounters. If you weren’t aware, you can flee them and they stack (up to 100).

Between now and the next community day, complete all the easy field challenges that reward a Pokémon encounter. Leave the encounter and it stacks them at the top of the field challenge screen. Then on the day you decide to try to complete 200 catches you’ll have all those Pokémon right there ready to be caught from home.

Between the Meltan box, an incense, and having ~60 or so encounters stacked up, I was able to do the 200 catches in a day easily despite working all day.

They stack in order fled and there’s no way to cycle through them other than catching them. I give the first one a berry so if for some reason I get over 100 I’d notice the first one no longer had a berry and know to start catching them, but that’s never happened to me.

I had 50 or so stacked up for today and caught them in between waiting for noibat spawns just to make extra use of the stardust and exp bonus (popped a lucky egg & star piece, + community day bonus).

  10. I did it in about 2-3 hours on a normal day with a normal if I’m honest. I got the quest at 4pm and finished it at like 8-9pm with dinner inbetween. Do you perhaps have a city center near you? The spawns were so excessive for me there that I got it without much effort.

  11. LEDiceGlacier

I got mine like 15 minutes till midnight. Was anxious as hell that I wont make it in time.

  12. Icanthinkofaname25

You probably do it during the Pokémon go tour event at the end of the month

  13. TimsAssistantJared

I wish I did not complete this until I was absolutely ready for 41. This feature was very nice for quick catching. Running after the ball hits and you instantly know if it was caught or if you have to retry. For those who don’t know, they will often still be on the map and you can sometimes still click them without them dashing off. They will still run in the encounter should you of caught them already, wasting time.

Before the next community day, whenever you complete a research task that rewards an encounter, back out of it. You’ll be able to attach up to 100 of them, and with community day you should easily be able to get the 200 without much wait time.

  15. ItsN0tjustLuck

If u buy the pokeball plus it’s easy

  16. TolisWorld

If you learn quick catching it makes this task very easy, I would have never been able to do it without it.

  17. Sportslover-82

I did mine last community day, also before opened the magic box.

  18. SheWasUnderwhelmed

Community day makes this super easy.

  19. AzoreanEve

Are you a rural player? I did slightly over an hour of community day at a park and just kept moving around and throwing a ball at each ‘mon with quick catch and moving on. Netted some ~150 noibats and that was with only half my battery drained. Perfectly doable if you’re somewhere with pokéstops.

Also don’t waste time on berries, just chuck a great/ultra ball and move along to the next spawns

  20. AcademicSavings634

What’s the catch? This doesn’t seem like a hard task.

  21. Ok_Accountant_8716

Incense, lures and this thing called an auto catcher (especially if you have lots of regular poke balls and lots of Pokémon storage)

  22. Warhammer02

I recently completed this during Noibat community day!!!! Got myself a 96% lucky shiny Noivern for my troubles!! You can easily do it too

  23. OgCush94

Nah bro your Buggin. I tried this yesterday and I caught over 550 Pokémon in like 4 hours. Go to a park / community college. Set up lures / have an w and use POKEBALLS. Why on watch would you use ultra balls?

  24. FarPlatypus4652

This was my favorite task to keep. It always let me know if I was catching Pokémon through “quick catch”

  25. Yasihiko

Mystery Box is a great option. Free basically every few days.

  26. froopynooples

When I did this research, I started at midnight and got nearly halfway before going to bed. Made it super easy to finish come morning time.

  27. jesusunderline

Is it really that difficult? I know some people live in places with few spawns, but I thought with CD+Meltan Box+incenses/lures it should be a piece of cake

I actually had to control myself and stop catching on some days because I wanted to keep this task for as long as I could, mainly because it was so usefull when quick-catching

  28. ErnGotti

Community day. Master the quick catch. You’ll get it done

  29. Tasty_Wave

Dude i literally did this without quick catch in an hour and a half yesterday. Just go to a spot with poke stops on comm day catch every mon you see.

  30. TurdWranglin

Why’d you use ultra balls for all 196 catches?

  31. PidgeonShovel

like everyone said, comm day, incense and Meltan box should make this easy. aside from those, learn to quick catch and itll be done in and instant

edit: start before comm day as well. anyways, with the numbers you gave, it seems like it was definitely doable. i got 68 Meltan from one box so if you did actually use that, plus quick catch everything, it definitely would have been finished

    edit 2: https://youtu.be/NJZ8Q7etQ34

  32. fulcanelli63

Do it on community days? I caught 160 noibats last night in like an hour.

  33. bloomingstone

    Are you a rural player?

I reached 200 in the span of 6 hours yesterday with the help of incense, a couple of lures, and a very supportive partner to drive me around to new locations downtown.

  34. Otherwise-Salt-8492

The best way I figured this one out was I took my wife shopping at a mall. Lots of poke stops dropped lures on every stop Along with an incense. Got it done I’m less then 2 hrs

  35. Buffalo-Empty

Com day and quick catching. I easily caught around 350 yesterday playing in high density areas.

ETA, you might even be able to do it from a spotlight hour every Tuesday 6-7

  36. Gacharala

It wasn’t that hard honestly, It took me around 2 hours of the CD to do, although admittedly I was playing in a very central area with tons of lures and I had an incense down. But yes, realistically to do it, it has to be a CD, and you have to be able to play for all 3 hours.

  37. snow_boarder

Damn, I grinded out my 200 catches yesterday. I’m almost berry and ball bankrupt now. I’d be so pissed to have come up short.

  38. DilithiumFarmer

Stack up your research task rewards/spawns from Pokestops

Sit down one day and just catch them with any ball you have. Research task spawns cannot run away.

    Or… autocatcher

  39. Apprehensive_Ad_6157

I just completed that task yesterday during community days hours😝 I thought it was an impossible thing to ask BUT it was easier than I expected. Hit up a park during the next community day and catch everything and you will get it done in 3 hours!! Good luck☺️🍀

  40. DarthDank1

This shouldn’t take more than a couple hours..

  41. woodchip4

Bro that was really easy, I did it the first day without trying much. All you need is a bunch of stacked encounters from field research. And a melton box. It also happened to be a spotlight hour but I don’t know if that made a difference.

  42. sgtstepchild

I too thought it was crazy but when I did it I got it done pretty quick
