Could be years before we see it again: keep in mind that before this fall, it has been almost two years since the last time it was available.
Just hang onto it either way. Shadow Registeel is pointless.
If Mewtwo comes back there will probably be another event to get another super rocket radar.
Even if it’s a while until Mewtwo comes back, we could get a better legendary like shadow Kyogre/Groudon/Rayquaza before then. I’m skipping Registeel to snag an extra one of those.
Edit: to clarify, I meant better than Registeel, not Mewtwo
You don’t have to use the Radars or any other items as soon as you get them. You can wait until the Giovanni Pokemon that you want comes around. Just make sure you unequip the Rocket Radar so that you can keep getting the Rocket grunts and Rocket Leaders. Saving Super Rocket Radars is how people can get multiple of the same Giovanni shadow Pokémon
I never got to even find all 3 of the team go rocket leaders
It is a bug that allows you to save the super radar. By not using it, you are betting that the bug will not be patched.
I got a Mewtwo using that like last week. What changed?
Mewtwo will take a looong time to come back around, but saving for a better pokemon next time is 100% better then shadow registeel

You just unequip it and it wont spawn giovannis.
You don’t need Mewtoo, just wait for a legendary who is meta relevant as shadow.

I saved for 2 years and I have 6 shadow mewtwos… not worth it

Idk what the next Giovanni shadow will be, but Registeel is kinda garbage as a shadow. The non shadow of Registeel is better in PvP, and he really isn’t good for raiding, so I’m saving mine at least til the next event
Hold up, i was told that if you complete the first page you are guaranteed a registeel.
I will add since you already claimed it you will just waste Rocket researches if you save it as you will not get the next one without finishing this one. I believe there is a bug if you stay on the first page you still get the new one so that is the best way to stack.
At this point I would actually get Registeel(wait until after Hoenn tour in case of surprise shadow) as the next two will probably be Regice and Regirock who are not good at all

Yes you can save you radar. I did that a couple months back where I didn’t battle for the shadow latias, waited till mewtwo came ms used that previous radar. Once I used it, the quest finished, and then the new quest appeared once you finish that previous quest. Then I did all the stages, got the radar again and got my second mewtwo

Don’t know about mewtwo as it might be some time, but I am keeping the radar for the future.
Just use it. They almost always have a new rocket event research when they swap out Gio’s legendary. So you’ll get one to use whenever Mewtwo cycles back around.
Wait till another legendary. registeel is not on my priorities but you do you
I got Mew Two just last week on one of my accounts. Fight Giovanni, if you see Persian and Houndoom you’ll most likely get a Mew Two. If it’s not Mew Two you can exit the fight and you get the radar back.

You’re gonna get flamed with this post. Although you might be new, there is a lot of troll posts that will pop up that are just like yours. The fact that you actually caught Mewtwo before it rotated within the last few weeks will just further paint you as a Pogo Troll.
If you’re sincerely new, Super Rocket Radars are typically only given once thru research. The intent is that you use them right away, but some people have found out how to stack 1-3 additional Super Radars by not fighting Gio and holding it until he gets a better Shadow than the 1 in current rotation.
I personally won’t be using this recent one to get Shadow Regi and will only catch the next one so that I can access the new research whenever that drops in 3+ months. I have 2 Super Radars in my inventory and this most recent research on step 2/x.
