Both Shopto and Base have it cheaper. Also neither of those take the money up front whereas The Game Collection does

Interesting! Before the direct they actually put the price up to £59.95. Seems they have had a change of heart, now including a free poster!

Oh don’t worry, it’s 90$ here in Canada

Wow I didn’t even realise lol. I just pre-ordered from them in Jan because they had it and Amazon didn’t. Glad I did now

Nothing against them, but I’m not giving any retail operation my money for 3 months. Too easy for places to take lots of orders and then call in the receivers due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

I’m waiting for the pre order bonuses for the standard edition to be revealed before I make my decision.

The collectors edition at Smyths toys in ireland was set at €100 for preorder. Now I doubt they’ll honour that but I can hope

  10. My pre order was £49.99, seems low… any reason?!

I got it for like £42 from here I had £5 voucher from GOW and I had about £2 of points saved up

The Game Collection are the best site I’ve ever come across for pre-orders. Their prices are always cheaper than the RRP and even Amazon (Most £50 Switch games go in at £42 on pre-order, which is cheaper than you can get many first-party games after two or three years), they’ve always arrived by 1pm on day of release for me, and every few months they do a deal where you get £5 back in reward points on every pre-order. I had some saved up from pre-ordering Pokemon, Fire Emblem and a few others last year, and was able to get Metroid Prime (Which they’re selling for £29) for free. If you’re UK based and like getting things day one, I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

  13. Why are games still so much cheaper in Europe even though the Euro is almost equal to the USD now?

This store have never let me down. New releases are cheaper than Nintendo and Amazon. And all of the £5 reward points add up and can be used on whatever you want.

  15. timcatuk

I’m waiting to buy it on the next system

Reminder if you have Nintendo switch online and you haven’t bought the game vouchers. This is your chance to get them Tears of the Kingdom is on the list. Personally I’m gonna get that and pikmin 4 also on the list.

Do Amazon pre orders come with a poster?

  18. Jimlad73

Waiting for reviews before I buy. I’m sure it will be great but seems like BOTW 1.5

My go-to website these days. Between these and shopto I haven’t paid full price for a new release in years!

I’ve preordered at Argos in Nov 2011 for £49.99… let’s see how it goes

  21. grey03456

okay so I just pre ordered on the site how do I check on the pre order I didn’t make any account for the site

  22. TokyoFran

Can get it for £42 if you use one of the Nintendo Online vouchers if you don’t mind having it digitally

  23. SumerMann

The collector’s edition is already sold out and is being sold on eBay for 300 dollars by scalpers. I’m so pissed that Nintendo keeps letting them get away with it that I’m thinking about passing on this game and maybe Nintendo all together for the foreseeable future. I was obsessed with these games as a kid and still really enjoy them any every time something like this comes out it’s like a slap in the face.

  24. tuttlebuttle

I just used the vouchers to buy Zelda and Pikmin 4. Everyone should check that list. If there’s one other game you’re interested in, it’s a very good deal.

  25. pdawson36

Is this game going to be as good as Breath of the wild?

  26. serenehide

$50 USD, or $74.90 AUD, or $42UKP at Australian Amazon with price match guarantee if it goes lower.

    Thank you retail competition.
