Yeah,I am hyped for this,I love the 3ds one so much that I still play to this day,I’ll finally be able to let that one go 😂.

Very excited for this, but here’s the sad reality with this announcement; the price for the original 3DS game is about to skyrocket because of this. If you haven’t bought it already, do it now while you still have the chance.

  3. Finished the 3DS one just a few months ago and put a good 50 hours into it, really loved it. So nice that this is coming out, really looking forward to it

I got insanely addicted to the 3DS one, played it for a couple of months straight. So beyond excited for this, I always wanted them to either port the original to the switch or make a new one. But I’d much rather a new one so I’m fucking hyped. Just became my most anticipated switch game coming out.

What is this? Animal crossing with a bit more to it?

I thought I remembered reading that Level-5 was all but confirmed a dead developer so having this direct with not 1, not 2 but 3 games by Level 5 was quite shocking. Not only that but with the mobile sequel to Fantasy Life bombing and shutting down I thought the possibility of a real sequel was impossible.

I absolutely can not wait for the release of this game.

Easily the highlight of the Direct for me, since I’d given up hope for a new Fantasy Life game years ago! I loved the first one, and we’re in for a treat if this iterates well on that game. The thought of having this, Tears of the Kingdom, Xenoblade’s DLC, and Pokemon’s likely DLC releasing this year means that my Switch will feel very loved through 2023. My backlog is already miserably long, but these will be too exciting to not play at or near launch

  8. Yes! I definitely didn’t expect Fantasy Life to return. I loved that game, and I’m so happy it’s getting a proper sequel.

(Level-5 being back was the biggest surprise of the Direct.)

I loved this game. I feel like turning on my 3ds and play again

Why does it run at 30? It looks too cheap to be 30 locked. It would actually look appealing if it ran at 60. Maybe I’m the most toxic Gamecube boomer to have ever posted on this sub, but the original AC ran at 60 on the ‘cube, so I’d like to believe they could have found a way to hit 60 on the Switch. This is a pass.

  11. Whats is this game about? What can you do on this?

I literally bought a 3ds to play fantasy life and haven’t even gotten to it yet. Guess I’ll play the switch one first when I have the time

I really hope this will be a 2-player couch co-op, I want to play it with my wife like we did for animal crossing.

  14. -AquaLeaf-

It’s my most anticipated 2023 game, I absolutely loved the original!

  15. Big_Hall2307

I LOVE the original. This news is exciting, I really wasn’t expecting to get a sequel.

Looks interesting. I know I played the 3ds game a while back…I hope this one has more than 12 lives (classes).

  17. other-world-leee

no fucking way. The first game was amazingly unique and has left a niche-shaped hole in my heart ever since.

  18. mindfulmushin

I hope Level-5 brings the new Inazuma Eleven game to the switch too now that they’re back, maybe a collection of the older games too..?

  19. DangChibi76

Looks interesting, might pick it up as I’m getting a switch soon

  20. PortifexMortis38

What… no way… I’m shocked. I’m so happy right now haha

  21. buTheFaultInMyHeight

It reminds me of Zelda Breath of The Wild

I’m hoping to see a lot more of this soon. Didn’t tell much. I wanna see how extensive the town building is and why. And what effect it has. Also I’m hoping for new jobs like farmer or something. Or maybe even like a carriage taxi service job lol. Trading maybe?

  23. badblocks7

I’m excited because I loved the 3DS game but I hope that this game isn’t SUPER focused on the building/terraforming aspect. I’m not good at that stuff and I don’t like it much. I want to arrive in a pre existing well designed town and just focus on quests and the like.

i thought nintendo had forgotten about this game, happy to have been proven wrong

  25. thefinestpiece

I have so many memories with this game on the 3DS with my younger sister. I hope to make more with this series! I even have some of my favorite theme songs on my PC which I listen occasionally! Can’t wait. 😍

  26. This is fantastic news! Loved the 3DS game.

  27. I just hope it’s similar enough to the first one. New world, new characters, some additional systems, but please keep the core job system intact with some additional systems to buff it up. That’s all I want

  28. uppercasemad

I never got too deep into the 3DS version so I’m super psyched to give it a go here.

  29. Very excited for this! I was just talking about the original Fantasy Life on 3DS with my friends and siblings last month. I need to go back and complete the DLC! I think I got them all onboard for the Switch version, I can’t wait! 🤩

  30. AzureOverdrive

I like how they’re giving us a new game but I really wish we got the 3DS version too. I miss that talking butterfly.

  31. couch_slouch

I was excited for the 3DS game, but after playing it for about 20 hours, I was disappointed. I think it was missing a quality of life features that would have made it less tedious. I’ll keep an eye on this one though and see how the mechanics have improved.
